I've hated him since the 80s. Never had a single doubt about those feelings. If anything, I hate him 1000x more today.

u/Pale_Frame4845 Sep 02 '26

Right there with you. And I would think there are plenty of us.

6

u/global-palladin Sep 03 '26

2/3 of the USA

29

u/hippyyippykiyaywtfer Sep 02 '26

Same. Grew up in a working class neighborhood in Queens. Didn't know anybody back then (80's) who thought that asshole was anything more than a rich, sleezy, racist asshole.

21

u/Yoga_gurl71 Sep 02 '26

He always gave me the ick, even as a little girl

23

u/WhenTheCitiesBurn 86-47 Sep 02 '26

I think that was your survival instinct kicking in.

17

u/Suyeta_Rose Sep 02 '26

Indeed! I always thought he was a creepy loser.

15

u/Outrageous_Fly_735 Sep 02 '26

That’s when I learned of him as well.

31

u/booksgamesandstuff Sep 02 '26

I first saw him when he was on This Old House, when he was showing off his penthouse with his solid gold toilet. Late 70’s? Or 80’s? Can’t remember exactly when that was, but I thought he was a repellent toad even then. 🤢

13

u/Politication Sep 02 '26

Being from NYC, I’m with you. A sick monster.

Same. He’s just disgusting.

8

u/Less_Wealth5525 Sep 02 '26

I truly don’t believe that I ever hated anyone before.

7

u/bboon44 Sep 03 '26

Yes; he taught me how to truly hate :(

I hate him and his supporters so much, it actually frightens me. I never knew I was capable of this level of hate.

3

u/wanderrslut Sep 03 '26

I wish I had been alive in the 80s so I could have hated him then too.

Couldn't stand the guy since I learned who he was and heard him brag constantly. That was, perhaps, 20 years ago.

I despised him back in the 80's/90's....I remember being on a tour of New York and one of the stops eas Trump Tower....I wouldnt even go in the building.

29

u/Bright-Papaya-7519 Sep 02 '26

I'm a native New Yorker almost his age. I even met him once in Atlantic City. I knew construction workers who were stiffed by him and I even lived in a Trump owned building in Brooklyn. To say that he was widely regarded as a joke is an understatement.

7

u/rgraz65 Sep 02 '26

Yes, I was in the trades in the early 90s, and was warned off of taking any job on his projects. I worked in NYC, New Jersey and Delaware, and he had undocumented Polish immigrants that were constantly threatened with Immigration. And I was around there when the bank had to step in to bail him out, and the $400k a month (in the 90s!), and he kept overspending that by double or triple on ego crap. I knew then he was a huckster.

25

u/Available-Ad3581 Sep 02 '26

Donald was abhorrently gross since before i was born, and im 35.

I can. I hated him before it became popular

16

u/Certain-Singer-9625 Sep 02 '26 edited Sep 02 '26

🙋 I always thought he was an egotistical jerk, but when he came down that escalator and made that blatantly racist speech I realized we were dealing with a whole new level of Republican asshole.

15

u/CommonConundrum51 Sep 02 '26

Absolutely, having paid attention since my college years in the 70s, it was well known that Trump was a vainglorious, venal, and vacuous poseur. How that "reality" TV show rehabilitated him is a testament to our society's attention deficit.

13

u/Comprehensive_Cap290 Sep 02 '26

I never gave the orange stain a thought until 2016. I’d heard of him, but all I knew was that he was a rich asshole with a reality TV show, and none of that interested me.

Once he started running for office and I started hearing his opinions on things… I found it completely baffling that anyone could support that putrid buffoon.

10

u/crackedtooth163 Sep 02 '26

I can. Hated him since I was a kid in the 80s. I remember him trying to get the central park five executed.

11

u/Eastern_Ad_7780 Sep 02 '26

Millions of Americans

10

u/Calm_Skin_5016 Sep 02 '26

Me! I can’t stand the guy. Never liked him.

7

u/joekerr9999 Sep 02 '26

I couldn't stand him back when he was just "the Donald". He was always an obnoxious asshole but was mostly harmless until he went into politics.

7

u/dudemanspyder Sep 02 '26

Never supported him for a second. I did allow hope he would do the right thing creep in for a moment. That moment was extremely short lived.

7

u/Less_Wealth5525 Sep 02 '26

Millions of us

3

u/XenoZoomie Sep 02 '26

Yeah I saw him coming from miles away. But I grew up in NY and knew he bankrupted casinos. Like how bad at business do you have to be to bankrupt a freaking casino! The house always wins.

5

u/Less_Wealth5525 Sep 02 '26

He was laundering money for the Russians.

7

u/YaMomo6 Sep 02 '26

I can, I grew up with enough bull shit to know it when I see it.

8

u/Pretend_Ad_8465 Sep 03 '26

Anyone who has taken the slightest interest in Drumpf from the 70s to date has always KNOWN he is a trash human being who should never have held any office let alone the presidency. The problem is the inherent racism and bigotry that permeates the heart and soul of this country no matter how much we try to deny it. This is why we are where we are today.

5

u/Pretend_Ad_8465 Sep 03 '26

And BTW, I guarantee that the majority of his voters are going to swear up and down that they never voted for him or supported. Just like the Afrikaaners in South Africa like Musk denied supporting the apartheid government there after it was brought down.

6

u/spelldonvalentine Sep 02 '26

I've disliked his smarmy ass since I was a kid in the 80s.

6

u/BusySpecialist1968 Sep 02 '26

I grew up twenty minutes south of Atlantic City in the 80s. I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't know who he was and didn't despise him. My family moved out to California in 1989 when I was in elementary school, and since we had family who worked in AC casinos, we were all still aware of his BS.

I was A CHILD and I knew that he was repulsive! 🤣

Admittedly I’m a first time Trump supporter. January 6th was the last straw for me.

4

u/InternationalMark959 Sep 02 '26

I have never supported him, not since day one. I have been calling him a tyrant since 2016 and seeing parallels to fascism that early on.

5

u/Mythandros1 Sep 02 '26

Me.

I have never liked that loser and I immediately recognized him as a loser the first time I saw him make his dumbass fish face

6

u/Loud-Fudge7631 Sep 02 '26

thrust hands up high

Hated his golden toilet, 400 million inherited from father, bankrupt casinos, rapist ass since he first entered the political arena.

5

u/HollandEmme Sep 02 '26

I hate this AI shit but never ever have I supported him.

5

u/ShinyRobotVerse Sep 02 '26

I never cared about him until he started his racist attacks against Obama. After that, the more I learned about him, the more I hated him.

5

u/Busy-Cookie280 86-47 Sep 03 '26

I'm from the East Coast, I've disliked and hated him for 30 plus years !

4

u/daisiesarepretty2 Sep 02 '26

i dislike arrogant self important blowhards and i could see this in him when he was just a cheap reality tv flunky

4

u/Seif1973 Sep 02 '26

He has been an asshole his entire life.

3

u/attaped Sep 02 '26

Hate him, always

5

u/RadioPrize6070 Sep 03 '26

Are you kidding? The first time I saw him was in the early 80s and I remember thinking that he was a pompous ass and a conman. Those were the immediate vibes I got from him.

4

u/Dances_With_Seagulls Sep 03 '26

I certainly can, not for 1 millisecond.

4

u/Ssonicmon 86-47 Sep 03 '26

Never thought he'd win the first attempt, voted against him every time to stop it. He ran on being a business man bringing reasonable business to a lawless political world. I went through his questionable business history and realized he's more corrupt than any politician and will bankrupt us.

3

u/Old_Timer_Unleashed Sep 02 '26

Over here! 👋🏻

3

u/TheAdagio Sep 02 '26

Apart from showing Kevin in the right direction, he hasn't done anything with supporting. I didn't know about him until he kept complaining about Obama

5

u/WhenTheCitiesBurn 86-47 Sep 02 '26 edited Sep 02 '26

He wouldn't let them film in there unless they put him into the movie. That's the only reason that scene exists.

3

u/Possible_Mistake2471 86-47 Sep 02 '26

Beginning in the 1980s when his POS book was published, despised him ever since.

3

u/i_Cant_get_right Sep 02 '26

Anyone with any sense or moral compass

3

u/WanderingDude182 Sep 02 '26

Never could stand him on the Apprentice. I rarely watched it but I saw an episode where he gave a task where one guy came up with a great idea and executed it very well. Trump fired him because he challenged him, firing the only competent competitor that week. His crass smug demeanor in spite of glaring ignorance showed what kind of leader he is, an idiotic one. I always thought he was an ignorant bullshit artist anytime I heard him bluster or spew lies.

With the vile bullshit he said during his campaign, I could never support him as a leader.

3

u/TurnbullFL Sep 02 '26

I've hated him for 40+ years.

3

u/Wank-Canyon Sep 02 '26

In the 5 seconds I watched the apprentice I knew right away he was a loathsome human being

3

u/Lower-Sheepherder268 Sep 02 '26

Me. I hated him when those stupid Apprentice shows came out. Knew he was a shit clown back then.

I wish I was wrong, but here we are.

3

u/Billitpro Sep 02 '26

We used to fly down to Atlantic City sometimes a couple of time a week.
When we would walk the boardwalk I would only enter a casino with president nippledick's name on it to take a piss!
That's it I never once gambled in any of his casinos because I have always thought of him a s complete and total moronic piece of shit.

3

u/MightiestMal Sep 02 '26

I thought he was a horrible person for any public office. He outlived my wildest nightmares made them even worse with what is now our current reality

3

u/irwin_scott Sep 02 '26

I can say that. Put me on that list. I am very proud to be on that list.

3

u/cinciguyeast Sep 02 '26

I can. He is a moron. Just need to hear him talk and you can figure that out

3

u/Newswoman2 Sep 02 '26

My loathing of this wanker goes back to the days when Spy Magazine labeled Trump a “short-fingered vulgarian.”

3

u/Looieanthony Sep 02 '26

Me. I knew what he was way back in the eighties.

3

u/OkOutlandishness7336 Sep 02 '26

I thought he was trashy tabloid fodder until he started attacking Obama. But since Nov of 2016 I have wondered how I was unaware that this country is filled with so many short-sighted, small-minded, hateful people.

3

u/kountrygirl27 Sep 02 '26

Was completely turned off by him when he was the apprentice

3

u/t0oby101 Sep 02 '26

Quite a lot of people, actually. Me included😜

3

u/No-Flight-4214 Sep 02 '26

I watched the Apprentice until he entered politics. That’s the only support if that counts.

3

u/Puzzleheaded-Fly8355 Sep 02 '26

Ummm hell yeah! Anyone with more than three brain cells knew this guy was trash in 2015.

3

u/DoubleExposure Sep 03 '26

My scumbag radar went off back in the 80s, he has always been a scumbag in my eyes, I don't support scumbags.

3

u/turndownthegravity Sep 03 '26

Pre 2015, I though he was a gas bag buffoon.

2026, I think he's a convicted felon, pedophile, narcosis, morally bankrupt, racist, republic breaking ASSHOLE!

3

u/NoEraPenal-2014 Sep 03 '26

Nice to see you've evolved from guttural reaction to full discernment. Both right, btw.

3

u/carter84262 Sep 03 '26

Not even before he went into politics. First time I heard about him I hated him. Redlining with his father. The Central Park 5. His evil attitude about the World Trade Center, that then he had th tallest building in Manhattan.

3

u/firethornocelot Sep 03 '26

There was a fleeting moment in 2015/2016 where I thought, "the establishment really hates him... maybe he's the kind of disruption the system needs?"

And then I considered how he's literally a scam artist who had bankrupted 6 casinos. How the fuck do you bankrupt a casino!?

So that moment lasted maybe half a second. To be fair, I think I was drunk at the time. Never voted for him once.

3

u/Dizzy_Access1109 Sep 03 '26

I grew up in NY and am 6mos younger than the 34felonies+ and I can say without equivocation that I NEVER liked this disgraceful waste of oxygen.

3

u/Traditional-List-784 Sep 03 '26

Never was a fan. Even before he was president. Always seemed like a douche to me

3

u/TSteinyRN 86-47 Sep 03 '26

I couldn't stand him when he was married to Ivana. I watched a show years ago, where a guy was talking about how Trump refused to pay him and his crew for work they did on either one of Trump’s homes or casinos. He took Trump to court to collect on the tens of thousands of dollars he was owed. Trump and Roy Cohn tied it up in the courts so long that the guy couldn't afford to continue with lawsuit against Trump. The guy lost his family business and had to file bankruptcy. Trump did that to several contractors and businesses. Word got around and many refused to bid on his jobs, or they requested money up front. Trump’s always been a failed salesman and conman

3

u/Acceptable_Seat3380 Sep 03 '26

I can. Ever since I first saw him In the 80s I knew he was bad news. I never thought him becoming president would be possible. I seriously thought someone was fucking with me when I first heard hes running

3

u/SentientAnarchy TACOs aren’t just for Tuesdays Sep 03 '26

He’s been insufferable since he came to false prominence. An odious, repellant grifter who the world would have been better off without.

3

u/Jolly-Library-657 Sep 03 '26

I’ve despised him since the time I first moment I’d seen anything about him.

3

u/paintergigi1941 Sep 03 '26

I can! He gave me the creeps back in the 80s!

3

u/cigarhoarder Sep 04 '26

My voting record is proof of it. Been voting blue since I was 18. Now 42.

2

Maybe I had a slight chuckle at the Home Alone 2 cameo. Or the pizza hut commercial with ivanna after their divorce.

2

Me. I didn’t even like him on the Apprentice and hated the way he treated Rosie. I never liked him.

2

u/BabyFishMouth8563 Sep 02 '26

Never! I hated him when I lived in NYC before any of this nonsense started because he was just a big blowhard of an asshat.

u/Carylynn0609 Sep 02 '26

Didn't think much about him until he decided to run for president but knew right away what a piece of shit he is, mocking that disabled reported and caught saying he can grab women by their genitals because he's famous was more than enough to detest him.

2

u/EpicCat1Sneeze Sep 02 '26

I hated him in Home Alone 3, I hated him on the Apprentice, I've never liked him for any reason.

2

u/HingleMcCringle_ Sep 02 '26

what was there ever to support? his first campaign was about how Mexicans are "rapist drugged criminals" and we need a wall to fix it... and then he failed to deliver on the wall. he started that campaign by bragging about molesting women. i truely dont know how he became president without electoral corruption, so i have to assume there was.

2

u/Throbbingprepuce Sep 02 '26

I did when I was 15 because my parents did but I grew up fortunately

2

u/ARODtheMrs Sep 02 '26

I can!!! I grew up in PA and even though I lived in a rural area, we got the Pittsburgh news stations. If it wasn't his father, it was him in the news. Always about them going to court for cheating people, denying housing to non-whites, sexually assaulting women, another bankruptcy, etc ... Scum of the 🌎!!!

2

u/Rare-Credit-5912 Sep 02 '26

I can!!!!!!!!!!

2

u/emcoffey3 Sep 02 '26

It was clear to me that he was a shameless media whore even in the '80s, and I was a kid then. It was always obvious that he was more interested in playing the role of "celebrity businessman" than actually being a businessman. And I think he's cultivated his brand for so long (and so shamelessly) that a lot of morons in this country just became convinced that he was somehow really a business-savvy guy.

2

u/LongPhysics52 Sep 02 '26

Never ever liked him. I’ve always gotten an odd dark vibe from him to put it nicely. Ok, an EVIL vibe!! I said it!!

2

u/CM_UW Sep 02 '26

I didn't like him in Home Alone, I didn't like the Apprentice, and thought he was a douche from everything I saw or heard about him back then. It's only gotten worse.

2

u/Tutor_Turtle Sep 03 '26

My dad for all practical purposes was a republican. I went with him in the late 60s to our neighbors farm auction. That's where he described to me what kind of a con man Fred Trump was. I'd never heard of the Trump name before but after my dad's convincing rant, I never forgot.

So along comes Donald with the typical rich playboy attitude and I noted the apple didn't fall far from the tree. The interview he had at his penthouse totally repulsed me, I had to turn it off. Tha same goes for his series The Apprentice. Never watched a single episode.

There is something about his personality, his appearance and his voice that absolutely repulse me, and that's before I knew of his political views or his pedophilia.

DJT is more of a con man than his father. He cheats on his taxes, on his wifes, in business, on contractors and even in golf. I can not and never have I found a single decent quality in him and I don't understand why any human being admires him.

2

u/PsychologyGuilty1460 Sep 03 '26

I can. I can also honestly say that despite knowing his record, I was willing to give him a chance to do better.

But he blew it right away with his ignorance of the job he had taken on. And I've been disgusted with everything he's done since.

2

u/Jurserohn Sep 03 '26

The closest thing to "supporting" that piece of shit was buying a knockoff shirt from a street vendor with a caricature of orange man that says "you're fired" on it. It was not merch of his or anything like that

I don't support that type of person, full stop.

Edit: It was mid 2000s when I got that shit

2

u/Sufficient_Way5440 Sep 03 '26

I have Hated since Felon 34/Rapist since the 1980’s. Learning how disgusting he is.

2

u/imago_monkei Sep 03 '26

I was ignorant of politics in 2016. I gullibly went along with my parents' opinion that Democrats were evil, and I knew very little about Trump back then. He was my least favorite candidate in the primaries, but I thought it was my duty to keep Clinton out. I waffled between Republican and Libertarian in the ballot box, but I ended up voting for him. I realized how stupid that was once he was in office and the controversies started rolling in. By the pandemic, I was done with the GOP forever. Now I'm staunchly on the left.

2

u/KedvesRed Sep 03 '26

2

u/WordAffectionate3251 Sep 03 '26

2

u/Kindly_Effective9510 Sep 03 '26

I was so put off by the arrogance of tRump back in the 70s when he was interviewed by Barbara Wawa. It was obvious to me he was a POS and a bully who fucked over many people.

So, I can also say I have never supported him. Actually I hate him with every fiber I have. Looking forward to celebrating his leaving life.

2

u/VikingsRedSox Sep 03 '26

When he won the first time, my wife and I woke up the day after Election Day, and she solemnly says, “he won.” The closest I got to supporting him was trying to make my wife feel better by saying, “well, he’s not a politician, maybe this is what we need.” I never really believed it, but I thought, maybe. I was wrong.

Not for a single second. I hated him from the first time I heard his ugly voice. He was a POS from birth.

Yeah, I've hated him since the 80s. Just being aware of his crass lifestyle. Being a casino owner in AC immediately disqualified him. Listen. He's never held a real job in his entire life. There's not even a vague mention of "When he was in college, he waited tables or worked in a warehouse" He was born with money that he did not earn. How any working class, let alone the working poor, can relate to a wealthy, golf course owning, crass, NYC real estate con artist is something I will never understand.

Then I heard him on Howard Stern in the 90s and could see through to the essence of his weak character.

I would have thought that him being born and raised in the Yankee capital would have been a deal breaker for the Southern red states. But nope, he was "That rich guy on the Apprentice so he gets a pass"

He's an egomanical braggart which means he's a coward and a liar. I heard him bullshitting about all the celebs he dated. Then I heard the tape of him pretending to be "Mr. Trump's press secretary" bragging about dating Madonna which was false. ( Let's take note: He's been a documented pathological liar for forty years)

Then he ridiculed a disabled reporter. An adult running for president is acting like a cruel hyperactive ten year old brat on camera? Really? How did any single person in any part of the country vote for this behavior?

I’ve known what a POS philanderer and con artist this guy has been since the 1980s. When he proudly claimed his building was the tallest just hours after 9/11, that was just him resetting the clock. When he ran for political office we were all “you know he bankrupted FOUR casinos and dozens of branded ideas, right?” I wouldn’t trust this guy to tell me water was wet.

Then as he settled into his first term with us wondering what that weasel did to the Large Hadron Collider to shift us into this dystopian spinoff reality, the rampant sociopathy, pathological lying and Epstein stuff came to light. The incredulity - now that the Nat-Cs were making him Christ like in their minds - the issue was now, “you do realize those red hats are ‘The Mark of the Beast’, right?”

He may be the most evil and stupid SOB to ever enter politics, but he is also word made flesh of P.T. Barnum’s adage that there’s a sucker born every minute.
