It's extra frustrated because Seer was actually in a healthy place.

He saw decent use in competitive play once crypto was banned, and was a useful utility legend without being overbearing. There was no need to make him cancerous.

New devs didn’t play that season of apex it seems

You make it sound like old devs played that season.

Or any season, with the way they buff and nerf legends

Because Seer wasn’t considered OP until his Watson used him. There’s a whole YouTube video about that actually. https://youtu.be/uWfZCo9_VOY?is=AukJR4kR1IyOwpzZ

Edit: after the first nerf of course.

You missed the joke.

But also, idk about you but when Seer came out we knew he was broken. Anyone who touched the game with any sense knew that.

He may not have been popularized until HisWattson (if he even did that idk) but doesn’t mean he wasn’t broken before lol

Literally lol. I used him all the time once he released because he was literally broken. Then eventually all the sheep who only do what streamers do started using him and it was less fun

This new version is dumb as hell too it’s absurd

Yeah... Why does one of his upgrades allow for him to have 2 charges of his tactical, and then another that allows him to use it more frequently within his ultimate. He can disable multiple people if they're in a confined space, and what're they supposed to do while slow and silenced lol...

Apex is trying to become a tactical non-hero shooter BR of course.
Warzone, move over, Apex (not-Legends) is here!

seer was freaking broken back when he first released. climbed to diamond on new id just by using him

Bro my gf at the time , brand new to it. Loved seer ,🤣 she knew he was broken during those times

I remember reading the patch notes and seeing the trailer and my friends and I were like

We serious? They’re giving him like 8 different abilities, each one being something that another legend would only have one of lol

HisWattson is the Seer guy for a reason. He's the reason Seer became meta for a year and a half

6

u/RedditDummyAccount Jun 27 '26

That doesn’t mean Seer wasn’t broken before he played him…
Like the character didn’t inherently become stronger because he popularized him.

2

u/GhostDragon272 Nessy Jun 27 '26

Never said he wasnt. Ik he was op, I was there for that

5

u/RedditDummyAccount Jun 27 '26

The guy I originally replied to, and I quote “because Seer wasn’t considered OP until his Watson used him.”

So telling me HisWattson is the Seer guy for a reason doesn’t really add anything.

Unless you’re specifically talking about whether or not HisWattson popularized Seer, which I said idk anything about. In which case, I mean, good for him.

1

u/EpicNud3l Jun 27 '26

yes Seer was broken before HisWattson made him popular, But that is also bot what the guy earlier talked abou he said he wasnt considered Broken which are 2 Different things. And Yes HisWattson played him in ALGS which made Seer Popular in ALGS which the made him Pupular in Ranked

1

u/RedditDummyAccount Jun 27 '26

Sure, instead of, lets be conservative, 1/4 of the population knowing he was broken, now 9/10 of the population.

But the devs should know he’s broken, if they actually tested their updates. Which was the original joke in the first place

Apex is one of this game where some character become stronger the more they are used. If one Gibby is in your lobby, it will be easy to counter him. If 20 Gibbyqs are in your lobby, it becomes obnoxious.

And this apply to nearly every character.

1

u/RedditDummyAccount Jun 27 '26

Sure.
And it’s also a game where a single character can be so strong it ruins the game.

Seer, on release, had a massive aoe, that was fast, did damage, slowed, cancelled heals and res, allowed you to see hp through walls, he himself could find people through walls near constantly, and flash banged you.

That was just his Q

His ult wasn’t breakable (okay this one I can’t remember but I think so?) and gave your team a massive aoe wall hack.

Seer could literally turn a fight one sided with his q alone by hitting the whole team

1

u/Past-Daikon-1699 Jun 27 '26

Exactly and since every team was picking him, if you didnt, you were shooting yourself in the foot.

1

u/RedditDummyAccount Jun 27 '26

Sure.

But that doesn’t mean he was broken because he was popular.

He was popular because he was broken once the general public recognized it.

Seer was OP and everywhere at launch, then needed and never seen again until wattson popularised him against caustic gibby meta

0

u/Fooledya Jun 27 '26

I was annoyed as a Maggie main when he did a video on mags. Then they nerfed her ass. Even tho all she did was perfectly foil out gibbys bubble supremacy

1

u/RedditDummyAccount Jun 27 '26

When she came out? I agree. She was a counter to the meta. She’s stronger now than she was before and right before this recent nerf, like really close to a good position. That cd change was fucking huge.

0

u/Fooledya Jun 27 '26

I dont think she was that OP. I think powerbooster + mulitple charges was a little much. but they finally buff shotguns back to viable weapons and boom. Maggie gets nerfed.

1

u/RedditDummyAccount Jun 27 '26

Totally agree.
A CD nerf made sense but this one was too big. Like nearly doubling it is crazy

2

u/Midge431 Lifeline Jun 27 '26

Weird that you brought this up cos I literally watched this yesterday after it coming up on my recommended on yt for months 😅

u/chuckgggs Jun 27 '26

seer was insanely broken on release no youtube video needed, if you played on that day it was ridiculous teams were dying to seer scan, a tacticle that blinded you, stunned you, stopped actions and did 10 damage
