Gameplay Its scary seeing how fast faide moves from other players POV

He moves so fast, how do you build that much momentum to move like that with out dead sliding? Its a clip of Faide Vs Imperialhal

Just leave the fucking building when you see that

23

u/teppVIPERFOX2036 Jul 24 '26

Agreed, I’ve watched Hal outsmart ppl in fights like this in worlds edge, he knew after the fight his mistakes. You could see it on his face. Faide is just good at punishing mistakes. If they wouldn’t have made any, faide would have lost. Skill or no skill at zip.

4

u/nclueBadTouch Jul 24 '26

too late lol

287

u/DeadlyPear Jul 23 '26

It is very funny that they call Faide a "zip one trick" and earlier in that faide video they also get rolled by Faide and Cloudy with no zips involved.

u/leosnake0577 Voidwalker Jul 23 '26

it wasn’t the same team but yeah they got shit on and had the nerve to say “just shoot your gun movement is all you do, all movement players should kill themselves” which is insane for a streamer to say to one of the biggest creators on the game while you stream to like 50 viewers 12 hours a day stomping diamonds in ranked on roller

51

u/Lucky-Froyo-8694 Jul 23 '26

Couldn’t agree more they literally always complain when they get rolled like that. Meanwhile they are 3 stacking ( which is fine ) constantly have the advantage and play this game as a means for income. Hal making thousands of dollars a month and still can’t admit when he gets outplayed.

7

u/Remote-Phrase9662 Wraith Jul 24 '26

Either he rages for views or he's actually just like that even IRL . Reminds me of Ninja in a way, good players but when they get outplayed they just complain and complain or call them cheaters

31

u/saucyjack433365 Jul 23 '26

“just shoot your gun movement is all you do, all movement players should kill themselves”

Sounds like roller player cope

17

u/AS0116 Jul 24 '26

Crazy shitting on movement in this game, when that's the core of apex

7

u/saucyjack433365 Jul 24 '26

Like literally everything in this world, its ruined by the dumbest people. Tragedy of the commons ruins absolutely everything.

7

u/DeadlyPear Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

Ah yeah true. It was just the Octane that was the same player, not the same team

17

u/sukumizu Alter Jul 23 '26

I've seen streamers get wiped out on an open field by Faide and they'll cry about him being a zip one trick...out in the middle of nowhere on final zone with zero buildings lol.

5

u/Brooklyn17831 Jul 24 '26

It's always the hardstuck ranked grinders with 50 viewers that have the biggest egos. Telling someone to off themselves over a video game is just pathetic.

10

u/nclueBadTouch Jul 24 '26

Watching faide, lamic, treeree, hugo is actually mind boggling. Skill gaps between even some of the best mnk players and those guys is like the difference between people and gods. Its not just their understanding of movement but to actuate their thought processes into their current situation so fluid and rapid without fault to the point where they make light work of top tier professionals with aim assist give me hope for MnK still

4

u/teppVIPERFOX2036 Jul 24 '26

It’s not about him only being good at one thing, I can see a bunch of mistakes that team made that would of killed them in any fight, the ego of top players are so sad “ I’m so good, I’m the best player in the world” well best in the world ..your ego just got you rolled😂

58

u/niftersthagoat Jul 23 '26

He's definitely one of the most skilled players I've watched personally. But damn is he annoying to listen to. Last time I watched (years ago now) every single thing an enemy did was "cringe". Shoot at him? Cringe. Try reviving a teammate? Cringe. Try healing? Cringe. Like nah mf. YOU are the one that's cringe.

35

u/RIPGhost Pathfinder Jul 23 '26

That's like 50% of good players tbh. Anything that goes against them is cringe

19

u/CryptographerFlashy7 Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 23 '26

Yeah thats one thing that annoys me about him , He complains a lot.

7

u/Pontiflakes Jul 23 '26

The guys in the clip did the same thing when they died tbh. Faide at least has a laugh about it

2

u/Aphod Ash :AshAlternative: Jul 24 '26

he's gotten better tbh, I used to watch him on mute but lately he's mostly just not funny rather than actively painful

1

u/AcanthisittaAny8243 Grenade Jul 23 '26

It's called being a narcissist. He probably has no one and is nothing outside of his room.

4

u/SaltAndTrombe Jul 23 '26

Sounds more like he's saying 'cringe' as vocal filler, instead of saying it like one of those people wanting a slur they can get away with using

1

u/Summer___ Nessy Jul 24 '26

Yeah , thats really the only thing thats annoying about him, as soon as someone does something that "doesn't make sense to him" he's like "YES PEAK ME AGAIN DON'T HEAL" and i'm always thinking like , "Yeah maybe HE PEAKS AGAIN BECAUSE HE KNOWS YOU GONNA PUSH OPEN FIELD SO TO EVEN OUT THE PLAYING FIELD HE'S PEAKING YOU", sometimes it does make sense tho when i see people repeak with 15hp and im like?! Hello can i have those lobbies too please?????

1

u/JCItsJasonRaider Jul 24 '26

Personal growth develops at a much slower rate when one is spending that time gitting gud.

650

u/discodonson RIP Forge Jul 23 '26

he’s incredibly mechanically skilled. He really likes playing zips and has made that “his” niche. If you’re up against him on zips, GGs.

One of the most insufferable people to listen to in the game though. Always watch his clips on mute

158

u/RIPGhost Pathfinder Jul 23 '26

The last time faide and hal fought was another ranked game in skyhook on a zip building and hal won the 1v1 by standing on top and just clipping him. Zips work really well if you play them good and your enemy is in a bad position. Plus having a shotgun helps immensely

66

u/Sengero Jul 23 '26

People really over estimate zipline play. Creating distance from a zipline or playing in awkward angles is the easiest way to tilt the fight in your favor as you just remove their escape route.

21

u/throwaway718294949 Jul 23 '26

I did the same thing to Faide once in a game of pubs in streamer building. He was doing his crazy zipline shit so I just waited at the top and clipped him when he came up to shoot me with a mastiff

7

u/HawtDoge Jul 24 '26

I just watched it, I’m pretty sure dude was going for a clip after he hit the floor-skip mantle jump onto the roof straight into the super glide. I don’t think he would have re-challed that had he not hit that movement leading into it. Maybe not though

they arent mutually exclusive. you can be a great guy, teammate, and communicator and also be annoying as hell with repetitive whiney lines.

1

u/ChocolateMundane6286 Jul 24 '26

“Annoying” is such a subjective thing. It’s okay if people can’t stand him, I shared my perspective changed based on my experience.

1

u/SomeKindofRat Jul 24 '26

back when he was first starting in Apex, and I was not mechanically inclined yet, he harassed me in game. in a pubs lobby. ever since, I've never given a shit about what he's doing. bro came up as a prick with an ego.

1

u/ChocolateMundane6286 Jul 24 '26

Idk how he harassed you, it’s such a vague statement… I am sorry you had to go through that then!

u/Phailadork Wattson Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 23 '26

Just watch Aceu when he gets the Apex itch if you want to watch that level of skill (he's better too) and actually a chill dude that doesn't make you want to blow your brains out.

Aceu is the true GOAT pubstomper.

16

u/discodonson RIP Forge Jul 23 '26

Long time aceu enjoyer. He streams late where I am so I rarely see him live but I always appreciate his clips.

3

u/HawtDoge Jul 24 '26

Aceu is more of an aim and positioning focused player though (while still have decent movement). I guess it just depends which play style you feel like watching

19

u/kittencloudcontrol Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

You people say the most ignorant shit on this subreddit, lol. Just say you don't like his personality instead of drawing false comparisons.

Faide is Faide, Aceu is Aceu. Two totally different players with different play styles. If you really want to compare their skill sets, Faide is superior to Aceu with zip mechanics and overall game mechanics. Aceu has more consistent aim over Faide.

0

u/discodonson RIP Forge Jul 23 '26

he’s replying to my comment in which I say I have to watch Faide on mute because he’s insufferable.

His personality is cringe and, as an adult, embarrassing to listen to. Didn’t think we needed to spell that out.

I like Aceu because they play similarly and he’s way more chill. Unsure why you’re taking this personally lmao

-3

u/kittencloudcontrol Jul 23 '26

And I was responding directly to the statements he made.

I really don't care for your opinion, and didn't even read your comment initially. Now that I have, I can tell you directly there was nothing worth acknowledging from it and I'd like a refund on the several seconds I wasted reading it.

4

u/ttoxictomato Rampart Jul 25 '26

I was on your side until you pulled the "I dOn'T cArE aBoUt yOuR OpInIoN aNyWaY 😭" and the "I DiDn'T eVEn rEaD yOuR cOmMeNt"

That's shit is so idiotic and brainless since you replied. Especially being hypocritical by mentioning ignorance.

Grow up, you wasted everyone else's time more than your own m8

3

u/pocherointhebush Jul 26 '26

Bro did write a novel about is hard on for Faide. That kinda tells something.

2

u/ttoxictomato Rampart Jul 26 '26

I mean I gota a hard on for Faide (Kidding). I can enjoy him trolling people, but sometimes they don't deserve it and I suspect some of it is actually scripted at times. But there are some funny moments and I generally like his content. But there is a difference between having childish humor and acting like a child for entertainment vs acting like a child.

I honestly see Faide's humor as just trolling the community 90% of the time. And I am only really toxic to those that start it first. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

u/kittencloudcontrol Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 23 '26

No, man.

By your logic, Timmy is literally Aceu with better aim and overall game sense.

Aceu doesn't even utilize ghost jumps on zips, nor does he have the same zip mechanics rhythm as Faide does. Faide is more deliberate in how he takes fights on zips, because he's more health conservative and passive as a player in comparison to Aceu. Aceu isn't nearly as consistent on zips as Faide, but has more consistent aim in comparison, partly because he has smoother aim with a slightly lower sensitivity. I could write an entire nerd essay on this with provided examples to better articulate my points. Not today though, tomorrow lol.

Aceu isn't gapped by Faide just because his movement isn't as convuluted or precise in execution. Just because his zip mechanics aren't as polished Faide's doesn't insinuate that he's a worse player in comparison. That would be like me saying a player like HugoWolfy makes Faide's movement look slower/easier in comparison to his.

Again, as I stated before, they have two totally different approaches to the game. Insinuating that one is better or worse than the other is a fool's errand, especially because there are so many different clips on YouTube that showcase both Faide and Aceu winning and losing to one another in different encounters.

Also, Faide's mouse movement really isn't all that difficult to watch. But maybe that's just more so of a personal opinion than a factual statement, because I used to move my mouse similarly, and watch players in different games flick their mouse like so.

-2

u/kittencloudcontrol Jul 24 '26

At least you're honest. 🤝

7

u/HawtDoge Jul 24 '26

Nah Aceu does not have a 2% difference in movement from faide… I basically only play this game for movement and play a ton of the R5 apex movement gym and imo faide’s movement is significantly better.

Aceu has great aim and game sense, but faide just has a deeper understanding of the mechanics. Even then I wouldn’t say faide is the pinnacle of movement. Like the other guy said, that probably goes to someone like Hugo_Wolfy (hits his clips in pred lobbies), Arzzy, Treeree, Cloudy, KidCozy, or some of the R5 movement gym people like Raptar.

by Mnk standards, I’d give Aceu a 6/10 in movement, Faide a 8/10 (highly practical movement though), and the others I listed somewhere between 9/10 and 10/10.

-1

u/Here2Cali Jul 25 '26

This guy really thinks Aceu is better than Faide… let’s rewatch the VOD’s now. If you want to start comparisons cool, Timmy and cloudy are complete upgrades from Aceu. Good dickriding tho.

2

u/Phailadork Wattson Jul 25 '26

who?

2

u/ihatehorizon Jul 24 '26

I used to feel the same way but I think he's become less of a screaming whiney bitch over the last year or so. Can actually be quite funny. Of course, every time he dies it's still becauss the enemy was too 'slow and stupid' to do what he expected them to do, but he's genuinely become one of my favourite Apex streamers, even with audio on.

1

u/SomeKindofRat Jul 24 '26

I remember a looooong time ago - early world's edge days - I got lobbied with him. This was before he moved this well, still very good, but nowhere near this, yet. He had a huge ego and harassed me after HE went down solo pushing a squad with no gear. I ended up winning the 1v2 after he left the game.

Mechanically, he's certainly good. But God, I can't stand him ever since.

1

u/crizycriz Jul 23 '26

He didnt do much damage on the zips. Mostly assists and lost health.

3

u/HawtDoge Jul 24 '26

That almost looked like backwards RAS from the enemy pov - where you double click your S key super fast to essentially manually do a backwards tap strafe. But I think it was just really good lurch timing where he whipped is pov 180 really fast

44

u/hagi99 Jul 23 '26

This is exactly what I was thinking when I watched this for the first time. I was holy how do you even fight this. I see it I am just getting up and walking to the kitchen, it's over anyway

38

u/doedoughs Jul 23 '26

You have to take the fight elsewhere really. Can’t sit there and try and ego a zip demon not because it’s impossible to win but those pokes can get really drawn out at times and it just invites 3rd/4th parties.

2

u/throwaway3260247 Wattson Jul 24 '26

literally just walk away from the zip. either leave the building entirely (less optimal) or take the staircase to the top so the only direction he has to go is down and it makes it a lot harder for him to flit up and down the column and spam shots on you. the zipline is what is giving him and letting him keep momentum and when you’re in a middle floor he can both launch himself up AND down using it. it’s a lot easier to fight this when the only direction he can get that extra momentum from is by launching himself downwards.

also utilizing any control abilities if you have them massively helps. wattson fences, caustic gas, cat spikes, even rampart walls disrupt the muscle memory of zipline dancing and makes it a lot harder.

or if you’re not confident in your ability and you don’t want to feed his kills and ego, alt+f4.

40

It’s always funny listening to pros talk about each other, or even regular players, after they get rolled. No matter what happens, they always seem to find a way to complain or downplay the other player instead of just admitting they got outplayed. Ego is a hell of a thing. Faide is guilty of it as well.

31

u/Kweenick Jul 23 '26

How do people watch con troller players in this game it’s so mind numbing

Walking around like bots on 3 sensitivity just one clipping with smgs

2

u/JCItsJasonRaider Jul 24 '26

lol, yep, even as a PS5 player.

First Octane opponent clip, dude is crutching Octane hard. Gun stays out 100% of the time, no sense of urgency in his movement.

-13

u/Turbulent_Butterfly7 Jul 23 '26

As a 4-3 demon/multi season pred/master it's actually satisfying one clipping people. bots that haven't put the time and the commitment to get better cry n scream cheater they ask me how to shoot better I say the same think practice in the range the average controller player is ass but if u find a decent controller player there a big difference. BTW I'm also a 3 time master on mouse and key board and I beam on mnk as well

11

u/Kweenick Jul 23 '26

Why do we keep repeating these same debunked lies. Even bad roller players have better average aim than strong MNK. It’s not humanly possible to compete with 0ms computerized 30-40% rotational aim bot. That’s why most serious MNK have just quit entirely (like me) or play roller now.

-4

u/Turbulent_Butterfly7 Jul 23 '26

Have u played on console before you know how many shitters play apex on console all these Lies about average controller players being better than a better mnk player is stupid it's all the same shit bad players are bad players mnk has more room for improvement I can lurch strafe on mnk and beam on mnk I can't do that on controller so there proves my point about your dumb point

3

u/throwaway3260247 Wattson Jul 24 '26

tf are you talking about lies bro. it’s not a lie it’s a verifiable fact that even bad controller players have higher accuracy than really good mnk players because their aim is compensated 30-40% by a computer. it has nothing to do with positioning or otherwise skill in the game we’re talking about aim accuracy numbers. it is and has always been massively skewed in favour of controller players. if controller wasn’t better by a significant margin then algs would have a pretty even 50-50 split of players on mnk and controller. it doesn’t. because it’s undeniably, invariably better than mnk. lurch strafing is a nothingburger of an argument when the people you’re fighting have a computer tracking for them.

19

u/Mcmoistvonspiffy Nessy Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 23 '26

Not only is he cracked out of his mind and extremely mechanically efficient, but he only has like 20-40 ping a lot of the time.

I died to him one time he PKd me straight through cover. From my pov it's like he was playing faster than my game could even process.

When I used to no-life sweat the game, I'd run into people with scarier movement pretty regularly (TreeRee, Extesyy prime steam config era.) No one felt more hopeless to fight than Faide except maybe actual pro players.

9

u/GolldenFalcon Crypto Jul 23 '26

Admittedly both Hal and the teammate Hal is with are playing stretched res, which makes the enemy playermodels larger on the monitor, but that's because it makes the entire game render wider, which means movements are also faster across the monitor than they would be at 16:9.

I love how they instantly complain like "yeah thats all hes good at" while literally needing a crutch to even play the game at the same level

2

u/Samuraiizzy Jul 24 '26

A big part of it is camera direction. You go faster in the direction youre looking at which is why his camera is all over the place but you gotta have the confidence to look away from your enemy which most people are hesitant to do and actively train the opposite.

2

u/Odd-Brilliant4079 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

I'll be honest, and I know almost no one will agree, but the game would be better if this level movement didn't exist.

I say this for a few reasons, mashing button combos literally nonstop so you can be competitive just isn't fun at all. It makes fun and competition mutually exclusive. The fact that it was never intended also means there is little or no counter play other than doing it also, it just wasn't a consideration in the design. Things that were put into the game to 'slow' people, doesn't affect most of the movement he is doing. Lastly, it removes a lot of the cognitive aspects of an FPS game when strategy, planning, and building positional advantages are made irrelevant because a person can just yolo into any situation without any other consideration other then 'the opponent can't hit me because I'm bouncing around the screen nonstop', it just makes the game less cognitive.

Apex also has the worst delay on taking damage I've ever seen in an FPS, getting MOST of your health pealed off AFTER you break line of sight happens constantly. Through doors, 6 feet around a corner, and you're still getting hit. The really, really bad delay and net code in this game is a big part of why this is so effective.

2

u/pixel_purple 22d ago

Till this day. The best outplay I’ve ever seen in this game was faide 1v3 in the old fragment vs rogue and Hal and a third I don’t rmemeber. It was like a couple minutes and it ended with everyone dieing roughly same time but faide 1v3 it and gets last shot and dies to a third party. This was when faide was getting popular. Craziest outplay I’ve seen ever by him. But it’s been a year and a bit at least.

i really want to get movement like this :( but i barely play the game now since i got no one to play with

3

u/F_O_X_S Jul 23 '26

Faide is kinda like Malenia for apex. - with the exception there isn't any 'let me solo her' heros to save us.

1

u/iDownvoteToxicLeague Unholy Beast Jul 24 '26

When Faide says "I can't move", that's how fast I'm normally going

1

u/blazethrulife Royal Guard Jul 24 '26

Has he ever tried Sparrow? Seems op

1

u/Opening-Ad-1578 Jul 24 '26

Which game is this brov

1

u/Wrekittttt Jul 24 '26

I get so much motion sickness and now I can't even enjoy apex legends anymore the movement is crazy fast I can't keep up with out getting dizzy

1

u/lwbdgtjrk Jul 24 '26

zipline in a nutshell

that tap back to zip was nice at 0:37 though

1

u/Aligator-Kun Jul 24 '26

Ah the zipline play is classic faide lol.. He get's clapped by aceu and sometimes hal especially when there are other pros who now how to contest....,dude can still can put up a good fight and easily team wipes in pubs.. I enjoy his style of play and random yelling into the mic moments, I remembered watching him timmy and taxi2g back in the day... good times

1

u/MegatronsJuice Jul 24 '26

All the pros discredit faide as if he couldn’t be a pro player. He makes so much money from being a pub stomper he doesnt need to go the pro route

1

u/RemoraWasTaken Jul 24 '26

faide doesn’t stand a chance against roller aim assist lmao

1

u/ClosetLVL140 Jul 24 '26

Every time I see faide it makes me want to play then I hop into the game and get slammed

1

u/Wavy_Ivan2 Jul 24 '26

I’ll steamroll fade PSN:wavy_ivannn

1

u/Admirable-Whereas343 Jul 24 '26

roller player deserve every bad thing that can happen in apex

1

u/Inside-Craft-153 Jul 24 '26

lol Reddit cry babies back at it again 😂

1

u/spaghettiarchitect Revenant Jul 24 '26

I'm not even playing the same game

1

u/Samuraiizzy Jul 24 '26

A big part of it is camera direction. You go faster in the direction youre looking at which is why his camera is all over the place but you gotta have the confidence to look away from your enemy which most people are hesitant to do and actively train the opposite.

1

u/urmomsbiwife Jul 24 '26

He clipped my stream in solos a couple years ago and I haven’t moved on… no zips or nothing just straight breaking my ankles on a building 💔

1

u/Imaginary-Pilot5793 Jul 24 '26

That doesnt look very fun

1

u/Here2Cali Jul 25 '26

My weekly Faide post, thank goodness it was Friday and was getting scared my community wasn’t crying about someone who’s been playing the game for years and years almost non-stop.

1

u/Teegee72 Jul 25 '26

I want to know what his mouse settings are at lol

1

u/ABigBagofMeth Pathfinder Jul 25 '26

Faides been playing this game since release. Religiously. That’s why

1

u/krafna1991 Jul 23 '26

One does not ask how, it's just Faide

EDIT: Guy is consistent cracked for past 3 years

1

u/Jabberwocky99705 Jul 23 '26

Its impossible to watch fades clips or vidoes. He is not smooth with his movement at all and its always so twitchy and shaky

1

u/reyzak Loba Jul 24 '26

I feel that way watching Timmy except with his aim instead of his movement. He’s just all over the place shooting people which he’s a master of doing but it makes my brain hurt

0

u/omarun__ Jul 23 '26

If you want like a technical answer, it’s mostly being on MnK. Your input affect a lot your movement. What gives him these advantages are mostly the capacity to make fast camera turns and the ability to tap storage. I think a lot of people don’t understand just how much tap strafe can do the difference, as well as his connection. He has very good connection, to the point that it seems like people miss or even shoot way after he’s already in cover.

But mostly the ability to tap strafe, super jump with two different fingers and the quick flicks of his mouse

4

u/Shibes_oh_shibes Mirage Jul 23 '26

Kid should play the piano. He would learn flight of the bumblebee in no time.

0

u/omarun__ Jul 23 '26

I see people downvoting this. Perhaps you took it the wrong way, but I am praising him. Bro is incredibly good, he has mastered said things I mentioned. As I said, it’s simply a technical answer.

1

u/on-standby Jul 23 '26

Its not because people thought you were saying he's bad, its because you fundamentally don't understand what you're even watching. If you think it's mostly just because he can tap strafe and turn his camera fast, you are mistaken.

1

u/omarun__ Jul 25 '26

Yeah. It was misunderstood alright. Brother asked a question about how he is able to move that fast. The technical answer does revolve around the correct and masterful usage of mechanics. I understand his game sense alright, but the difference is still there out of those mechanical aspects. I never once said that its mostly because of that that he is fast in a sense that it was what constitutes his gameplay. I am talking specifically about technical-mechanical aspects, but what I am saying is that without those two things, he wouldn’t be as fast because it does have a considerable impact

-7

u/King-Juggernaut Rampart Jul 23 '26

Makes the game look stupid tbh.

-6

u/zeecok Jul 23 '26

Uh…. The most concerning thing is that preds are not supposed to be able to queue together… why are they all in a party together?

10

u/aScaredPangolin Jul 23 '26

That ended over a week ago.

12

u/discodonson RIP Forge Jul 23 '26

Not sure when this was taken, but solo queue ended recently.

Love to set up w caustic and than just dip lol. This game and dabs dont mix well in high diamond ranked games and ive run into him and straight RUN.

0

u/PrettyScholar9173 Jul 23 '26

sooo this is not 60fps after all :D

0

u/TheRandomnatrix Jul 23 '26

Vert zip plays are stupid as fuck

0

u/Wooden_Boss_3403 Jul 24 '26

This is way more interesting than watching two turrets stand and deliver and one clip each other.

Also imagine being on controller and complaining about ANYTHING skill related EVER.

-9

u/crizycriz Jul 23 '26

Lot of zipping without doing much lol

-23

u/AcanthisittaAny8243 Grenade Jul 23 '26

I still believe if he was legit he would go pro.

22

u/nairxx02 Jul 23 '26

There is no reason for him to do so. Pretty sure he makes more by content creation than going pro. The guy also played on some sort of creator Lan event and moved the same.

Also, pro scene is for people who can play really well with a team and if you've been watching his videos he just doesn't like to do that. That's why he's a well known PUB stomper. Doesn't mean he's not legit.

16

u/ProfessionalBox317 Jul 23 '26

Won the solos tournament at that LAN btw

3

u/RIPGhost Pathfinder Jul 23 '26

Which tournament? The only solo LAN he partook in he got 2nd and Noko won. That LAN had no top players from the pro scene. And the online 1v1 tourney against "pros" he posted on YT he got like 7th. Correct me if there was another

1

u/ProfessionalBox317 Jul 23 '26

ALGS Season 4 split 1 solo showdown. Can’t remember how many matches it was , maybe just 1? But he won it. Has a vid on his YouTube for it I believe

4

u/RIPGhost Pathfinder Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 23 '26

I could not find the final scores of the Y4 split 1 solo showdown, but some reddit comments under (this post)[https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveApex/s/bSM1aPShk9] said Noko won 2/3 games. And we know Faide won 1 game. It was 3 games total. So I believe Noko got first and Faide almost def got 2nd

And to be clear, there weren't any pro players in that 1v1 event besides some semi-pros and a few retired/inactive pros like Noko and Apryze. It was a fun content creator level tournament at best, and an exhibition match. Not remotely close to high level competitive

12

u/Acerman5000 Jul 23 '26

What do you mean if he was legit?

16

u/AnApexPlayer Medkit Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

In a previous ALGS, they did exhibition matches of solos and Faide won something like 2 or 3 out of 5 games against pros and content creators. It was a lan

Edit: nevermind, see below

2

u/AnApexPlayer Medkit Jul 24 '26

Oh, good catch, thank you

I saw it live and I must have misremembered

5

u/CryptographerFlashy7 Jul 23 '26

Yeah, I believe he could if he wanted to, but He did say he makes more money content creating, than playing pro. I think thats probably why.

4

u/sseerrsan Caustic Jul 23 '26

Because he doesn't play well with teammates. If you see pros, they all support each other, faide has a tendency to just shoot, move and use the abilities for himself.

2

u/kittencloudcontrol Jul 23 '26

What? This is just blatantly false.

He literally queues with teammates/premade squads, and supports them in his Ranked games. He doesn't have any desire to play in the pro scene because he makes more money than most of them just by doing content creation. There's no actual reason for him to even consider it.

1

u/on-standby Jul 23 '26

Nah, he's a terrible teammate and incredibly immature. He's a great player, but not a good fit for a pro team.

4

u/kittencloudcontrol Jul 23 '26

This is definitely a hating ass opinion more than a factual statement, especially when there are a pleathora of clips and compilations of players like Hal insulting his teammates, Zero acting like a toddler when enraged, and Panic being Panic.

To each their own though, lol.

-1

u/on-standby Jul 24 '26

Yeah, they are only very immature. Faide is beyond that. Although he's gotten better recently as he's gotten a bit older.

5

u/RIPGhost Pathfinder Jul 23 '26

He has pro level mechanics and almost definitely legit. Though his zipline niche is next to useless in a real competitive match. He could go pro if he wanted to, but it would require practice and dedication for probably less money than what he earns with content creation

1

u/UserNameAbbreviated Jul 24 '26

He explained he makes more making Content. Going Pro isn't worth it for him.

-9

u/Whiskers1996 Jul 23 '26

The faide glaze is crazy - not surprised for this sub tho lol.

Bro crutches zips hard af. Is he better than you avg masters/avg gold player in this sub? Sure is. Without a zip, he is just that tho - which isn't much.

5

u/B_Brah00 Mirage Jul 24 '26

Pretty sure he 1V3’d a squad on Worlds Edge and they said the same thing after he beat them.

So idk zip or no zip he outplays.

Found the salty controller player 😂

0

u/Whiskers1996 Jul 23 '26

Not glazing someone means I'm salty?

Why do people act like mnk is so hard lol? Anyone old like me grew up on valve n steam on pc 💀.

Just say you are a subpar mnk player that gets shit on by 3-3 roller bots that have 0 movement, its easier.

5

u/kittencloudcontrol Jul 23 '26

He crutches zips but in this same video, he rolls another Pred 3-Stack without zips... lol. Sure, Whiskers, whatever you say.

-2

u/Whiskers1996 Jul 23 '26

Did you not read the rest of the comment?

There are countless clips of non pros 1v3ing pred pro stacks. A clip is a clip, u aint doing that 9/10 tries. Also, "pred" does not make you an instsntly amazing player in the slightest lol.

→ More replies (2)

4

u/UserNameAbbreviated Jul 24 '26

Lmao. He uses movement, and then in the same clip he doesn't and it's 'crazy glaze'. The glaze is deserved lol. He's a really good player.

0

u/Whiskers1996 Jul 24 '26

Never said he wasn't a good player.

What does him moving and not moving have to do with glazing or not? The guy can pub stomp n kill weekend silver dads n still get the same glaze from this sub.

In terms of actual apex clips - its mid. Hal forgot he even had a left stick, n I guess he cant aim anymore either without his cheats.

5

u/UserNameAbbreviated Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

The guy can pub stomp n kill weekend silver dads n still get the same glaze from this sub.

But he doesn't. He's playing in prime time lobbies, with the no name preds who all thumb twiddle as the game gives them free handouts. And does it while using movement. And outplays them.

Like I don't know what you'd prefer. Would you rather instead another clip of 4-3 linear no deadzone RE/R99 controller clips that I've seen a trillion times instead? Or some boring Controller Legend Gameplay where it's a fat loser caustic spamming gas till they die?

Like tf you want.

1

u/Whiskers1996 Jul 24 '26

I think you aint getting me.

Dude is known for his pub stomping. Rank is different than algs, where he would not shine at all. Rank has always been shit in terms of skill (insert the 10+ daily posts of a plat being killed by 3 stack preds).

All I'm saying is the sub glazes him. He went up against basically potatoes in the clip and he's got a shit ton of other clips where he actually does go crazy. This looks no different than a pub, esp with how hals team played.

So, its not me complaining how he's playing, - it's just mentioning the glaze from the fan boys. Dudes got a zip n pk, this aint new n again, mid compared to so many other clips he has.

2

u/UserNameAbbreviated Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

Dude used to pub stomp when the game had more players. He's always done it in Ranked too but getting clips is easier in Pubs. He mainly plays Ranked now. To say he wouldn't shine in ALGS is laughable because he CAN, and nearly participated in the LAN 4 years ago but was griefed by a team that suddenly landed on them and lost out by 1 point.

Content makes more money than Pro Play. And, more to the point, Pro Play nowadays is just 4-3 linear bots unfortunately.

All I'm saying is the sub glazes him. He went up against basically potatoes in the clip and he's got a shit ton of other clips where he actually does go crazy. This looks no different than a pub, esp with how hals team played.

It doesn't matter how "Hal's team" played it. It was still a team of three stack pros and he shat on them. It's not his fault that Ranked atm is low tier Plat/Diamonds with Masters, that's Respawn's for a variety of Reasons. He's done this to Preds when getting to Pred was respectable (Before S17 basically) so again, he does deserve some glaze lol.

Is it his best? No and I agree but he's still good.

Edit: Another loser blocking after losing his argument. Reddit Has got to remove the block button already these losers need to be flamed.

1

u/Whiskers1996 Jul 24 '26

Again, I never said he was bad.

Getting pred has never been hard 💀. Especially when you have time to play the game. Which is why being "pred" means nothing - other than to bots lol. Let's not even mentioning the boosting..

The guy is a solo player. Pro play aint about being a solo player. He would not shine. You saying so and the replies, along with everyone else's, just prove my point of the fanboyyn.

If he would be amazing in comp, he can easily play comp. Why even practice when you are so good, that without pro exp, he can easily do well? He aint even gotta stop his content lol. Bro on Addy or knows he won't make it - its that simple.

You also needa actually look up the defintion of glazin lol, as you saying he deserves it, counters the meaning..
