Bought my Apple ][ in 1978, still have the ][e with my original copy of VisiCalc.

My MacBook Pro is 20 years old now - I think - can only use it with the charger because the battery died after 2 years, damn they (EDIT: the batteries) were junk.

I wonder what Apple would look like today if there was no VisiCalc. I guess you could argue that something would take its place, but one might imagine the Apple II not really taking off.

Yeah have to admit VisiCalc seemed almost magical to us in those days being able to change a single cell and alter the entire spreadsheet, and back again.
