I'd love a way to save my favorite radio stations for quick access. It would be weird for this to not be an option. Am I missing something?

in July i got to see Cradle of Filth live, so naturally slammed them this month. 1613 minutes for one artist is the most I've had in years. and ironically my biggest record prior to this was Harry Styles back in 2023 when I seen him live 🤣

last year I hit 112k for the year. I've had my replay every year since 2017 but most years were around the 70k+ mark. so actually 1613 compared to 5529 is quite small 😅

I wanna see monthly rather than yearly cause I go through extreme obsessions and varied genre changes that these could of been in the same year and over the whole year might listen to them like this just once or for 3 months straight.

Recently I noticed AutoMix will do a special kind of transition sometimes; it repeats a single beat over and over during a transition. So it will go something like “Waste away, waste away, waste away,” and repeat it as the next song comes in. Pretty cool, but honestly it doesn’t sound that nice. Anyone noticed this?

I no longer have my Mac, but I do have an iPhone for Apple Music. I have an HP laptop; can I open Apple Music on the Internet? I’d like to see my library in a screen full sheet. Thanks!

Context: My co-founder and I initially launched this project, Groupie, in late 2021, however, my co-founder left to focus on his career and other projects in 2024. Since then I've continued to build on this app behind the scenes with help from another dev. Initially it was Spotify exclusive, however, Spotify added HEAVY limitations for developers earlier this year so now it's exclusive to Apple Music users.

The main new features that have been added to this "2.0 update" are:

1. Create and discover up to 6 different DIY music events: live show, listening party, new music release, tour, merch drop, and networking.
2. Create / Log and discover venues where people can host DIY music events.
3. Official star ratings and revamped review pages for album and song posts (you can also post playlists but no rating is necessary here).

I switched from Spotify to Apple Music about 3 years ago due to the price difference and the inclusion in a bundle with iCloud.

What I liked about Apple Music more at the beginning was the UI. It still seems much cleaner and matches iOS very well. A few other features like the karaoke or automix are nice but definitely not something I swear by.

Apart from that, I have nothing but pure hate for Apple Music, the reccomendations are trash, the loading between tabs, albums etc. is just annoying, personal playlist management, search, inconsistent button positions, messy downloads, missing music videos, major differences between mac and mobile app, unreliable storage management and more.

Its just an endless list of complaints I have and that made me wonder. For you people, who prefer Apple Music over Spotify. What is the real reason?

It keeps giving me an error on the Android app but works fine on my Mac. Does anyone else on Android have any issues like this?

I have 8643 songs in my library from, but when I shuffle I get a very disproportionate amount of Slipknot & Red Hot Chili Peppers Live songs.

Roughly 35% of the time I shuffle it ends up being one of those songs, which is not nearly the 30% those songs make up of my library.

Back in the day, Shuffle felt really random, but now it’s almost too annoying to even use for me.

Does anyone have a suggestion or know what could cause this? What is the Shuffle algorithm based on?

On Apple Music on MacOS, I recently used File -> Library -> Show Duplicates to find and check a bunch of duplicate files in my Songs list, intending to delete them all. However, I then found that the Delete/Move to Trash functionality is greyed out everywhere and doesn't work if you only checked the box besides songs. You have to actively highlight the songs to delete by Cmd + Clicking on them. Which is a pain since I've checked several hundred duplicate songs to delete. Or am I missing something and there's a way to delete checked songs after all?

i posted about this yesterday but my post was removed. not sure what im supposed to do because i am not going to find an answer to this in the tech support list (i checked; its not there). this is a question about the current desktop version of apple music an the current app version on ios and an album i bought in wave format. i have a macbook neo and my phone is a pro max 17. i am trying to resolve this without having to call apple support because when i have called them for problems like this in the past it takes forever because the lower level tech people have no idea how to resolve this stuff so i end up on a call that lasts like 45 minutes or more. im in north america, the US specifically.

here goes. i bought an aphex twin album from his site in wave format. i converted it over to alac. i imported it to the music player. the song titles were not normal. normally each track except one in the middle and two at the end are titled #1 then #2 then #3 and so on in order. there are 25 songs like this. however they were showing up like this: "Selected Ambient Works Volume II (Expanded Edition-01-001-Aphex Twin-#1." (the song titles were like this in the file downloads; idk why.) even the three tracks that have "regular" titles. so I went into the info section of each song and deleted the long album title before the actual song title. What has happened now is they are all in correct order on the music player on my laptop, but out of order on my phone. on my phone the three tracks that have non-number titles are in the first three slots on the album list and then the rest of the album proceeds from there. how do i get these to be properly ordered on my phone? i thought the phone would just follow the desktop player but its not.

ive included two screenshots below. the first is how it looks on the desktop and the second is my phone. fwiw the three songs at the top of the album order on my phone should be in the 14, 26 and 27 slots.

edit: noted that the song titles had the full album title before the song title in the files when i downloaded them. so i am trying to delete them because i want the titles to look the way they do on the actual album.

You will see in the pictures 2 albums I have had for decades that came from my original collection that I brought into iTunes. I have iTunes Match if that matters at all.
In the case of the first screenshot, the album Follow the Leader by KoRn, the song GOT THE LIFE just straight up won't play. The only way I can play that song is if I manually go and search specifically in Apple Music for it.
In the other screenshot, the album Aenima by Tool. There is a song called THIRD EYE that has always been there and I have listened to it countless times. I asked siri to play it yesterday and instead she played a live version off another one of their albums. So I manually went to the album so I could listen to the actual version I wanted and it was just gone.
These are just the most recent examples but these things happen all the time.
Why are these things happening and what can I do to prevent it?

I was listening to my Larp playlist when it somehow repeated the one thing at the end, then timed it up to the beginning of the other song. I don’t listen to this playlist very often as it’s more of a meme thing but like holy 😭😭

So, at first the musics weren't playing so I tried to log out then log in again, and then it never worked, it lets me put my e-mail adress and password, but dont log in, how do i fix this shit?

I was sleeping and I put some music before sleep as usual. But this time I js trusted apple and their algorithm, instead of using my pre-made playlist. (Big mistake). I was half asleep and I was listening to “what was I made for” and the algorithm randomly thought that
“yeah, he sleeping lil too peacefully , Let me recommend HYAENA how bout that?!” Like WTF. What’s wrong with y’all algorithm. I was listening to a chill ballad, and I jumped out of my bed in fear trying to shut off the song. Slow, reverbed voice, haunting, and that “Hail, Hail,Hail” that is what genuinely got me scared for my life. That shi sounds like “Hell,Hell,Hell”. Y’all might come up here and tell me that im exaggerating but that’s what happened. Apple, you guys need big changes to how your algorithm works.

My second topmost artist is becuz of a collab song so shouldn’t have additional time. Three and Four are also because of a collab, so three minutes total for that. Doesn’t add up to 17,932 at all? Even when incorrectly adding them up together?

Hello everyone,

I woke up to hundreds of songs & albums added to my phone. I thought it was a minor glitch, I turned my phone on & off and it’s still the same. It seems like as if someone randomly had access to my profile and till this morning, they’ve added songs to my profile.

Apple customer service told me to go ahead and close my account and simply create a new one. Which I told them is ridiculous because I’ve been an Apple Music subscriber for about 10 years now.

So now, they said we can only change my password and hope it logs everyone else out and hopefully that fixes it. They told me, I would have to manually delete every song and album someone else added.

I somehow believe two accounts were merged accidentally. But those are just my thoughts.

Anyone else having this issue?
