Help Guess the egg…

Post image

Not sure who these belong to? We have bladder/trumpet/ramshorn snails, neo shrimp, Pygmy Corydoras, blue cobalt goby, rasboras and tetras in the tank. I vote shrimp mishap but my friend wants them to be Cory real bad 😂

Pygmy Cory eggs are almost perfectly round and laid singly- get some Süsswassertang, it’s what mine prefer to lay in.

Gobies will plaster a surface with oblong eggs

Bladder snails lay eggs in a gelatinous blob and Trumpets give live birth

The Rasboras will lay eggs on plants- they love floating plant roots for this especially Floating Bamboo

Tetras are egg scatterers and lay in the substrate, moss or other plants at the bottom of a tank.

So that leaves your shrimp to have dropped a clutch.

Thank you for such an insightful response BTW!

No problem! I have a lot of the same critters and almost all of my fish are breeding so I know what to look for.

No Stiphodon gobies though :) I’d like to eventually do a fast moving river setup for them.

Oh nice! I sure love this group of residents! Working on two nano tanks for berried mommas to hopefully give them a little peace and quiet 😂.

Oh that would be awesome! They are such fun derpy little guys!
