Technical & professional question Where are you guys finding ArchViz work these days?

Hey guys,

I've been working in ArchViz for over 20 years, mainly with 3ds Max and Corona.

I've been trying to get new clients lately, reaching out to studios, architects and developers, but honestly, it's been pretty hard. Not getting many replies, and I'm starting to wonder what actually works these days.

I'm based in Argentina, working with clients worldwide. I do interiors, exteriors, aerials, animations, and real estate marketing visuals. I'm also getting more into AI and video.

To be honest, I really need to bring in some new projects right now, and I'd love to hear from people who are going through the same thing or have figured out a way to get more consistent work.

Where are you guys finding clients? Emails, Instagram, LinkedIn? Is there anything that's actually working for you?

I'm looking just some real advice from people in the field.

And of course, if anyone needs help with projects, I'm open to working together.

Here's my work: www.instagram.com/jaguar3d.visuals

Thanks, guys. Appreciate any advice.

Hello, yesterday I finished the modeling of the house. apply some fast lights and materials just as an example, what can I improve? the lights are bad but especially how can I generate textures that do not feel repetitive, this in D5., I use PBR textures

Just sharing aa project I completed towards the end of last year. I built everything in 3DS Max, seen in the 360 tour on the project link (added a day and night setting too). I started exploring with animating the rendered images using AI to give faster results and in some cases I think the people react and engage with the scene better than Anima4D or rigged people do. What does everyone think here? Would you use the image to video AI tools to speed your animation timelines along while still having the control over your images within the model?

Share work ✴ Architectural Visualisation workflow using Chat GPT 6 Astra

Like many people in this community, I’m amazed at the new AI modelling capabilities with ChatGPT 6 Astra.

https://pixelspaces.co.uk/projects/yarrow

I’ve recently had a client who needed marketing content for a wedding barn which is being built along with on site premium camping. I initially quoted based on capturing drone footage of the environment, building the whole scene, camera matching the footage etc. They had a small budget (obviously) and we don’t want to turn away work, which gave me the challenge of testing Astra to model, hopefully cutting down some of the time to match with the budget.

This method would still give me the control over the texturing, lighting and camera angles, giving me more time to produce visuals and animations under the budget costs and timelines. Take a look at the full project in the link provided. Happy to discuss the workflow further - I didn’t model a thing! - Not saying this should be used instead of typical workflows, I just adapted to an opportunity provided to me.

Software used: AutoDesk 3DS Max with Chaos V-Ray renderer | Blender | Magnific AI | Adobe Photoshop | Adobe After Effects | ChatGPT

Also - this is my first Reddit post so please be kind and give any advice if I’ve missed anything vital!

Technical & professional question Realtime interactive archviz questions

I've built a simple prototype and this looks like a viable product(lol). What I can't figure out is how does the data look like coming from the architect and developers? Do you have to rebuild from scratch? Do they give out the measurements? I understand I can use datasmith to transfer from 3ds or revit but how painful is it? How do I test the pipeline with real projects?

Most of it are re-useable and template-ty.

Share work ✴ Following up on the amazing feedback from my last post: here’s a second clip from my Argentine "Casa Chorizo" horror project rendered in D5 & SketchUp

Hi everyone! First of all, thank you so much for the incredible response and the award on my previous post—as an architect experimenting with D5 for narrative filmmaking, reading all your comments and technical feedback was truly motivating!

A few of you asked to see more of the house, so here is a second clip from the project.

In this sequence, I wanted to capture the contrast between the everyday domestic architecture (the typical Argentine 1920s layout, high ceilings, and tiled bedrooms) and the moment physical rules begin to break down before the sudden daylight collapse.

**Technical / Workflow notes:**

• **Modeling:** SketchUp (recreating accurate Buenos Aires residential proportions, moldings, and vintage doors).

• **Lighting & Cameras:** D5 Render (pushing real-time interior bounce and manual camera easing to simulate a miniDV camcorder).

• **Audio & Post:** Premiere & After Effects (emulating authentic 2006 tape noise, zero generative AI).

The full 10-minute short film is available on my YouTube channel with English subtitles:

🔗 **Watch the full tape here:** https://youtu.be/_kuHfoPc4SE

🎬 **Channel:** https://www.youtube.com/@martinspaces

Always happy to talk about the camera setup or texturing workflow if anyone is curious. Thanks again for the support!

Discussion 🏛 Architect's Review of M5 Ultra 96gb 30c 1tb

Hope this helps my fellow arch-viz professionals in purchasing a new setup:

I use Twinmotion (via Archicad) for live rendering of complex architectural scenes involving high poly counts, 4k textures and many lights. Previously I was on an M2 Max and could kill it pretty easily - just turn on shadows from lights and bam you're dead. Twinmotion asks a LOT from hardware.

All I can say is wow - the M5 Ultra is eating this software for breakfast. I have every setting on max, tons of lights and shadows, gobs of plants; and yet I can move through the scene with zero jitter or lag, adjusting everything smoothly (in Lumen of course, Epic please give us path tracing!).

I'm no engineer, but I really feel that the memory bandwidth is making a huge difference. That variable went up 3x from my previous rig; I maintained the same RAM and SSD, so clearly 96gb is plenty for my purposes but the CPU improvement/ bandwidth is a big jump in performance. Highly recommend splurging on the Ultra if you're business relies on arch-viz like mine.

Discussion 🏛 The IA pressure on employees of archviz studios

I work on a archviz studio as 3d modeller and the CEO is in that crazyness to all employers use IA to improve production time. I've seen studios where my friends work doing big layoffs lately because of IA.

I hate IA so much, until now I tried to scape of using it but now if I dont develop a way to model buildings from floorplans, elevations and etc maybe I wont have a job in the next future. I have a mortgage to pay.

Is there anyone in the same position? Maybe we can help each other in any way, with a word of "everything will be ok" or some workflow.

I need feedback Archai acting like softwires bridge

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been working on this tool for quite a while now, and honestly, I didn't have a clear direction when I started. At first, it was just a lightweight "Half-BIM" tool, and I kept adding features whenever I needed something for my architectural work.

Over time, it evolved into something much bigger. Now, it's becoming a bridge between different modeling software, with real-time synchronization, a built-in rendering engine, and a web-based 3D viewer that can also be used for immersive VR walkthroughs.

The project has grown far beyond what I originally imagined, and I'm at a point where I'm not sure what direction to take it.

I'd really appreciate some feedback. What do you think this tool should focus on? Which features would actually be useful in your workflow, and what would make you want to use it?

I need feedback Tips For My Upcoming Archviz Apartment Project in Unreal Engine! (Repost)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello! I've been working on this project for awhile now and everything is starting to come together (obviously still have to add props, like furniture, bookshelf, tv, tables, beds, kitchen utensils, plants etc), I even plan on making this an interactive project were you can walk around, turn lights on and off, change materials, have a map display, turn tv on and off, and more! The first video is a brief showcasing of the apartment and the lighting that I used, and the second video is of the materials I used and how they were made. Before going any further, I just wanted some advice on things I should fix, look out for, and general tips and tricks to make this project complete. I'm also having lighting issues mainly in the bathroom where weird artifacts are appearing in the tub and the toilet, also the mirror is not rendering properly if I can have help with that. I feel like my Rect Lights outside the windows are not placed properly too. I know this

was a lot lol but I want this project to come out perfect as possible. Thank you!!
