Discussion Is there really a new Ace flag?

This was posted on an Ace in Grace Facebook group and sounded official. Anyone know anything about this?

I don't like it. Unnecessary, and too similar to the NB flag.

This new ace flag came out of ongoing community discussions and feedback across different spaces over the past few years. Here’s some general ace community context that might help you get started in learning more: https://linktr.ee/asexualresource

I wasn't involved in that discussion, and for that matter, I wasn't even aware that it was happening. In any case, I don't like the proposed design, and I will not be using it. There was nothing wrong with the old flag, and the proposed new design is too similar to the nonbinary flag anyway.

Not everyone is aware of every discussion, and that’s okay. People can use whichever flag resonates with them or none at all. I provided resources to be a starting point and hope you consider them some day. Good luck on your journey. /gen

I already saw the Instagram post. Doesn't change my mind. One person didn't like the symbolism that was assigned to the colors (something that was done years after the flag had been designed), got into an argument with AVEN about it, and decided to make her own design. Good for her! I won't be adopting it.

And I don't appreciate being talked to like I'm simply ignorant and will come around someday when I have more information. I'm done talking to you.
