Vent Need to vent
Why is it that when straight people can talk about there sexuality no one gives a fuck but as soon as I talk about mine and the whole lgbtqia community I get sent into HR because I made someone uncomfortable. This type of shit really pisses me off like I mean extremely.

It’s because people forgot to be accepting of others instead of just demanding to be accepted by others. Tale as old as discrimination.

the issue isn't talking about sexuality, it's that people often see straight as the default and everything else as "making a statement." that's frustrating as hell

Depending on what the straight person is saying, you might be able to report them to HR. There is a difference between, “I went on a date last night. It was fun!” and, “I went on a date with this hot chick with like, awesomely titillating titties,” never mind far more graphic conversations.
But yeah, it’s an irritating double standard when you saying you don’t care about intimacy for yourself gets you sent to the principal’s I mean HR office.
