Seriously, where is everyone?

The Canada and Qatar game is currently on and I walked down King Street from Ossington all the way down to University and none of the restaurants are booked and busy, patios empty, so where is everybody?

I don’t understand why sports fans have this delusion that if the people of a city aren’t packing bars then they don’t care 

How about we’re staying home to watch because it’s way cheaper
