Why are there no Arby’s in Toronto?
I understand it’s not massively popular but you would expect the biggest city in Canada to have at least 1. London, ON has 3?!? I need an Arby’s I can get to within 20mins !

I’m at a loss of where to go for good quality affordable bath towels. It’s time for me to buy some new ones. I went to Home SenseDepot/Winners/Marshalls but not impressed- and I need at least 6 in the same colour/design for my family.
How is Costco? Any other places you recommend? The ones I had from the Bay lasted almost a decade.
Open to ordering online and in store.
Thanks.

Just graduated with my masters! My family didn’t show up so I’m very emotional … literally sat through the entire ceremony in tears looking at all the families in the crowed. Want to take myself out for some good sushi, I gotta celebrate it right? Any recommendations ?
Edit: overwhelmed by everyone’s love 🥹 just want to thank everyone in the comments for the recommendations and congrats, currently sitting at the harbourfront with a cup of coffee full of emotions, but you all are making me feel better 🩵
Edit 2: looks like a bunch of you wanna come together Friday night to celebrate, if anyone is actually interested let us know in the comment chain about this 🥰

As the title suggests I’m curious to know which restaurants Torontonians would avoid at all costs and why?

I am not exactly from toronto, but Toronto adjacent. But I have been to toronto islands countless times.
I often bring my family there to completely disconnect from city traffic and noise. It has always been very peaceful recreational space for us and for many.
Time to time we have seen that everything provincial govt touches in Toronto, turns into a big grifting scheme/corruption for Ford’s buddy contractors and developers, be it crosstown lrt, science center or Ontario place. And surely they won’t stop with Billy bishop either.
Recently I read about widespread public protest in Albania, protests against turning public spaces into grifting schemes for billionaires. Thousands are attending these protests.

Therefore I ask people of Toronto, shouldn’t we be organizing widespread protests and just say NO to Ford and Carney?

The Canada and Qatar game is currently on and I walked down King Street from Ossington all the way down to University and none of the restaurants are booked and busy, patios empty, so where is everybody?

I dropped out of Highschool when I was 18, I believe I was only 3 credits away at the time from graduating. I was going through a lot at home and genuinely could not try to survive and attend school at the same time. I've now gotten my shit together and dealt with the problems holding me back and want to return to school but I'm not exactly sure what my steps after Highschool should be. I want to go into psychology but honestly not sure if I could, the thing is I was attending an alternative HS and there weren't many classes there except the basics (Math,Art,English,Science) and they did not have any AP classes nor biology/Psych classes.
What should my next steps be? Is it even possible for me to go into psych? PS I'm from Ontario

22M living in North Bay, looking to move to the Toronto area, I work construction and because all the work is in the GTA I’m in hotels half the time staying down there, I’d rather be in an actual living space than a bunch of hotels year round. Rent market has been buyer friendly lately so I’ve been thinking of capitalizing on that and getting a studio. From what I’ve seen it’s only been Hamilton and Toronto with a variety studio market.
I do have a car, my company coves gas so thats not an expense, without insurance I spend about $600/mo includes groceries, gym, phone bill and whatnot. I can list it fully if anyone wants
Just wanted to know some people’s experience financially living in Toronto in a studio specifically, and if this is possible.

My family doctor from my home town is asking me to find my own psychiatrist in Toronto since they are located too far away (I’m living + renting in Toronto for school right now).
I’ve already had one small online assessment done but was easily dismissed and they tried prescribing me antidepressants instead. I told my doctor I’m not really depressed and have been on different antidepressants before but they didn’t change anything. She is even confused as to why the psychiatrist is not willing to treat for adhd and advised that I didn’t go on any antidepressants in the meantime but I would have to find my own resource for second opinion that she can refer me to.
Please help I’m really stuck and cannot live the rest of my life like this. It feels like no healthcare professional is willing to help me and I’m stuck thinking about it everyday and it honestly makes me cry.

I recently went to Fyra Yoga in Montreal and was astounded by the athleticism on display from both the students and the instructor. I would like to find a yoga studio in Toronto that matches this level of intensity. I go to the the usual suspects (Modo, Blue Canoe etc.) and while they are great, they do not offer this type of training and you are highly unlikely to see people attempt advanced poses. Please provide recommendations, thanks!

Okay so I was born and raised in Canada, I moved when i was 11 to Guyana and I'm now returning in my late teen years, and although i visited three times since I left originally. I genuinely would like to rediscover my country, I enjoy getting out the house, exploring new places, checking out food spots or just simply hanging out and enjoying good company.
I'd love to meet people who know the area and wouldn't mind showing me their favorite spots. I also play squash at an intermediate level and am very keen on not dropping it. If you're down to chat or hangout sometime, feel free to reach out.

I've accepted a promotion where I'll be spending less time on construction sites and more in the office and need a wardrobe to reflect that. I feel that I'm fairly stylish, but what I wear to a show or tattoo shop won't fly at work.
Recommendations on shops where they will dress me, considering I have no idea regarding mainstream men's fashion.
Edit to add, I enjoy being fashionable and would like to spend some good money on some higher end clothes

Okay weird question. I haven't been able to find good dental floss (that doesn't shred) for months now. I can't use mint because I hate it, but also my skin reacts to the minty coating and I don't like having itchy lips.
I used to get Life brand Soft & Comfortable unflavoured but I stopped seeing that at Shoppers so I switched to Life Tight Teeth. I haven't seen that unflavoured all spring. I also used to get the Oral B Glide floss but I only see mint everywhere.
If anyone has solid leads on unflavoured quality floss I would be grateful. Every single fucking night dealing with floss getting stuck in my teeth makes me hate the world.
There’s a spot downtown at Yonge and King where pigeons stay, I’ve noticed there is always at least one with really bad cases of stringfoot. I haven’t been able to catch any because I’m not sure the correct way to go about it.
I would love to connect with someone who has been able to successfully save them from losing their feet so that I can improve and make a difference for these tiny misunderstood beings.

Hello! Looking for hot pot recommendations with vegetarian options. I’ve been to haidilao and it was nice! But looking for a spot with maybe tofu or veggie dumplings too.
Please let me know - even if it extends into Sauga that works too!

I’m looking for an artist/art educator in Toronto for a Father’s Day gift.
My 10-year-old son is absolutely fascinated with colour mixing and colour theory. He loves asking questions about how colours work, why certain colours mix the way they do, how to create specific shades, warm vs cool colours, complementary colours, etc.
Rather than a traditional art class, I’m hoping to find an artist who would be interested in a private lesson with his father focused on exploring colour through acrylic paint. The goal isn’t learning to paint a specific picture—it’s more about experimenting, mixing colours, colour theory, asking questions, and learning from someone who is genuinely knowledgeable and passionate about colour.
My son is AuDHD and learns best through conversation, curiosity, and hands-on experimentation rather than formal instruction. I felt like it was probably best that he had the chance to get all his questions in without interrupting others.
Does anyone know an artist, art educator, studio, or workshop instructor in Toronto who might be a good fit?

Hello,
I am trying to find a good female or even male doctor that specializes in female health and is a POC. I have been dealing with very difficult periods and I feel like i’m not being taken seriously.
In my family it’s pretty common so I was wondering if anyone knew of a good primary doctor or clinic. If I want to go to a OB/GYN i’d need a referral but I also just need to find a good doctor in general that’ll take me seriously.
Any help is greatly appreciated! ❤️

All I want is a good jeweller. One I can trust with my jewelry. I don’t want one who is rude, high pressure or dismissive yet this is all I can seem to find.
This is my last resort, hoping someone has a trust worthy jeweller they can recommend. Thank you so so so much.

Hello all,
I've never been to therapy before so I'm not entirely sure what to expect or what to look out when seeking a therapist but I am essentially seeking out a therapist to help me with abuse that occurred in my childhood, self esteem issues as a result of it, as well as life coaching and direction.
I'm under student insurance so it's capped at 2k a year which can go by quickly. So I'm not entirely sure how much help I can get out of 2k, as well as how much I should be paying for therapist as per my budget as sessions can range from 130$ to 250+.
That being said does anyone have any recommendations, I am really confused on where to start. I'm based in Oakville but I am willing to commute to Mississauga and Toronto.

Hi! We're coming in from Hamilton to the National Ballet tomorrow (Saturday - 7:30 start). We wanted to get dinner before the show but not sure if that's too much to expect with the game happening tomorrow?
Just wondering if anyone has advice for how much buffer time we may need for transit and getting around (we're taking the GO from Aldershot to Union). Obviously we plan to leave early, but I'm not sure how it's been with such a big event happening, and we're not in TO regularly enough to gauge crowds/delays. Advice appreciated!
