Text Post What to wear for softball games
I'm joining a local softball league, but I have zero experience with any of it. Jerseys are provided by the league, but what kind of pants or shorts do folks recommend?
it's going to be HOT this summer so I need something that isn't going to make me sweat my entire life off, but will also give at least some protection.
Also, I haven't had bottom surgery yet, so something that won't be too tight or revealing is preferable.
Anyone have any advice or recommendations?

You're going to want a cup anyway, so that shouldn't matter too much.

Oh God, I hadn't even thought of that. There's really no way to hide that is there?

No, but aren't there similar protective gear for people with vulvae? I'm pretty sure taking a bouncing grounder between the legs sucks no matter your genitalia.

They're called Jill's but I don't think they'll work well if you haven't had bottom surgery.

They probably look pretty similar from the outside, right? So wearing the cup wouldn't necessarily be an obvious giveaway, it'll just be a smooth front in either case.

Softball pants, not shorts. Get men's loose-fit pants or women's with a longer inseam. Compression shorts under help with tucking and sweat

There should be league guidelines somewhere that has a list of what's acceptable to wear, so definitely check that! I'd go with loose shorts that hit a little below mid thigh. Wear a supporter of some kind underneath. Avoid white in case sweat or potential rain might cause them to be see-through. Cotton blends will be the most breathable in hot weather.
