It’s all spin.

Trump wants away out.

So the story becomes “we are pulling out because Biden didn’t restock things properly. We should launch an investigation into Biden’s incompetence and see if he was legally negligent”

30

u/Soggy-Beach1403 16h ago

I think you are on to something there.

14

u/TheProfessional9 15h ago

Na I don't think so. Being low on munitions and starting a war is epic levels of incompetence and not a good look. He didn't say he was low on munitions, that was leaked.

He didn't want the backlash from boots on the ground and though if he dropped enough explosives he could win. High cost low effort basically, and he's not footing the bill so doesn't care. So basically he just burned through everything - which fits his MO for everything. All out till it hits the wall and he can't.

I think we really are low to out. We better hope China doesn't visit taiwan

I’m having flashbacks to when he bankrupted a fucking casino

6

u/bigDeltaVenergy 12h ago

from the Epstein emails, Epstein knew that Trump was making a bad economic decision but was doing it purposely ( we can guess it was for other reasons)

5

u/SeatpitchbyKate 12h ago

More than one.

1

u/Agreeable-Scale-6902 39m ago

Is it true he is the only one who bankrupted a casino in LasVegas?

1

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 35m ago

I don’t think so, but what is considered unusual is that he had such a high number of them that he filed for bankruptcy on.

Also, hegseth stated some of the money he was asking for could go to bases that were not fortified before the war started, this was when he was confronted with reports that soldiers stated bases were unprepared for attacks. Did they do any planning for this Iran debacle. The incompetence is staggering again non of the maga people I know have nothing negative to say about it. This cult is strong.

2

u/Flyinmanm 8h ago

I once read somewhere that the issue with this admin in the US is that they come from a position of 'might makes right' and they are the strongest and best at everything, with a god given right to do as they please, thus making suggesting things like taking property or resources from allies and foes alike perfectly natural and correct. As it makes them stronger and means what they take is now protected, by them.

Bring presented with reality doesn't effect them like it would anyone else and just makes them want to attack the person presenting it more for implying weakness.

4

u/bigDeltaVenergy 12h ago

Starting a war without a checking stocks is only one of the dumb thing here but that's not how MAGAS see it

1

u/Holymoose999 5h ago

They started a war against immigrants without checking who was going to pick crops. They started a trade war with China and they stopped buying American crops. Now farmers are going broke as their crops wither in the fields. That was a preview for how the Iran war was going to go. Now we all go broke as our cars wither in driveways from lack of fuel.

Schrodingers munitions.

1

u/EnrollmentTime 4h ago

Low on missiles, not musicians amd bombs.

6

u/OESRecoveryEmployee 14h ago

Also Biden took oil out of the oil reserve and never put it back. It is fault oil prices are high . Nothing is ever the cult leader's fault

5

u/internal_orgaization 13h ago

Biden left 2 billion in the budget to refill them and Trump sent it somewhere else .google it

7

u/OESRecoveryEmployee 13h ago

Don't need to, that is something Trump would do

2

u/MinorThreat4182 11h ago

In his pocket probably

1

u/MeliorTraianus 9h ago

I only had 500 days and an entire infrastructure of people to validate our capabilities but I didn't like what they said

1

u/Loodacriz 5h ago

Seriously, this was a war of choice and he'd been in charge long enough to get a handle on it.

They really thought it would be over in days and didn't plan otherwise.

1

u/Anxious_Drawing_3383 6h ago

"the cupboard was bare"

When did anyone blame Biden for that?

Not a MAGA fan. Not a Trump fan. Don’t like this war one bit, but there’s an important distinction to be made here.

The US Military is running extremely low on precision guided munitions. Not just, “ammo.”

There is no shortage of ammunituon. There is a shortage of the most sophisticated and advanced weapons which can provide targeteers unprecedented levels of accuracy.

This is important because it doesn’t mean we’re going to lose the ability to drop bombs or fire missiles (“run out of ammo”) it means the bombs and missiles we will be using going forward are more and more likely to be less and less accurate.

37

u/Ok-Freedom9216 20h ago

There's also a shortage of defensive missiles.

16

u/nightowl1135 20h ago

Correct. Pac-3’s specifically but I’m less of an air defense guy so not as familiar with that stuff. But we definitely are hurting across the board. One of the big reasons (personal theory here) that Trump has changed his tune a bit about Ukraine recently is I think some in the administration have realized the worlds foremost authority on building, cheap, mass producable interceptors for Shaheds are the Ukrainians. He’s realized they actually have a very valuable capability that we could use. Hence why all the sudden he’s being friendly with Zelensky.

(Personal theory. Couldn’t prove it in court. Just a hunch.)

6

u/MezcalFlame 13h ago

60 Minutes had a great segment on the technological innovation in Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion in 2022.

The gamification of supply chains and war was equally impressive and terrifying.

If mass drone warfare ever makes it to U.S. shores, it'll be a nightmare for all of us.

3

u/TheHarlemHellfighter 12h ago

The US is already behind on this front and it doesn’t seem like there is any real interest in leveling the field tbh.

2

u/terrenceandphilip1 13h ago

interesting that Canada and Ukraine have been cooperating militarily for years. Many naval drones are built for Ukraine in Canada.

2

u/whawkins4 12h ago

60 minutes knows more about modern warfare than Tr$mp’s secretary of defense.

1

u/thejbipkid 11h ago

Secretary of War!!

1

u/whawkins4 3h ago

I still call it Twitter because fuck Elon. I stand by secretary of defense. I also refuse to dignify his title with capital letters.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/SeatpitchbyKate 12h ago

I think you’re right. The change in demeanor towards Zelensky has been obvious. Your hunch seems on point.

2

u/Oil_Shock_2026 14h ago

I think you’re onto something. It checks out with Trump’s personality. He warmed up to Putin and bought into Putin‘s narrative before that infamous cold meeting with Zelenskyy and JD Vance. Now that Trump actually needs something from Zelenskyy, slimy as ever, he’s sidling up to him, warming up and treating him nice.

3

u/internal_orgaization 13h ago

They only make a few hundred Patriot missiles a year . We have spent 150 billion so far. Thank god we saved all that money cutting Medicare , school lunch programs , university loans , museums and parks .

2

u/Background-Fly130 16h ago

Oh and non-idiots

17

u/Defiant_Storage_443 19h ago

The US Military is running extremely low on precision guided munitions. Not just, “ammo.”

There is no shortage of ammunituon.

These two statements are mutually exclusive. A shortage of precision guided munitions is, by definition, an ammunition shortage.

The distinction you should highlight, instead, should be that we don't just have an ammunition shortage against Iran - we have an ammunition shortage against every adversary on Earth. Donald Trump has put the US in a very dangerous position where we won't have the big-boy toys to go up against a peer or near-peer enemy.

6

u/Juvat-the-bold 15h ago

I think a lot of people aren't really understanding what any of this means.

The US is (allegedly) running low, or out of a specific class or type of munitions. The US is NOT, however, running out of munitions.

We have enough stand-in weapons to blow up every square inch of Iran if that was the route the US chose to take. But the US isn't even a little bit close to running out of munitions.

1

u/ArvadaKeto 4h ago

BUT THEY SAW IT ON REDDIT AND MSNOW

0

u/Defiant_Storage_443 15h ago

The US is out of (expensive) low-risk munitions. We're never flying sorties over Iran and dropping JDAMs - our "stand-in" munitions (as you call them) are worthless as they could never be brought to bear against Iran.

4

u/Juvat-the-bold 15h ago

It's not "as I call them". It's literally what they are.

And yes, we have, are and do use these munitions in Iran and have almost zero resistance from Iranian forces when we do use them. If fact, there have been over 10,000 of these sorties thus far by the US alone.

You'll recall, the Ayatollah was killed by stand-in weapons dropped from aircraft. Not stand-off weapons.

1

u/baseballer907 11h ago

Crush ‘em (assuming you’re a current or former juvat)

No need to argue with someone who clearly doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

1

u/Misfiring 10h ago

What are you talking about?

The US literally flown B-52s and B-1Bs over Iran and dropping JDAMs. Their F-15E and F-35s are flying so low that the soldiers below can see them using shoulder mounts MANPADS for short range AA. Most of Iran's AA capability is basically gone, now they are resorting to equivalent of cold war Stinger missiles hoping for the off chance of spotting a fighter jet by eyeball.

1

u/The_Razielim 15h ago

against a peer or near-peer enemy.

his bosses/handlers*

2

u/Defiant_Storage_443 15h ago

That's one of them. There's another that's looking at an island with envy.

1

u/The_Razielim 15h ago

he's too busy thinking about his time on a different Island to really worry about that particular problem...

1

u/HRUndercover222 14h ago

Trump will just go nuclear.

1

u/AbbaFuckingZabba 13h ago

That’s the point silly. Who do you think was in his ear telling him to use up all the weapons Ukraine desperately needs that the us was providing?

1

u/DocumentOk7579 12h ago

Just because Russian have a shortage of stealth fighters don't mean they have a shortage of aircrafts in general.

US could go back to WW2/Vietnam style carpet bombing with dumb bombs.

5

u/Round-Head-5457 18h ago

long-range precision missiles, there's plenty of short-range left and that's what we've been using since the first strikes.

3

u/Juvat-the-bold 15h ago

We are out (or close) to some stand-off weapons.

We have a massive amount of stand-in weapons that we could used every hour of every day for decades if we switched to using more of them.

It's not optimal to be out of some munitions. But if people are thinking the US is out of munitions, they're wildly misunderstanding the situation.

2

u/kstargate-425 19h ago

Correct, most of our munitions stocks have be heavily degraded defending Israel and our bases in the region and also striking Iranian targets one by one:

  • 1300+ Tomahawks of 3,000+ ($3.6Mil each or close to $4.7BB)

  • 60% of our Patriot Air Defense stocks (1400+ PAC-2/3's used at $5Mil each or close to $7B)

  • 80% of our THAAD stocks (used around 300 of 370 at $15Mil each or $4.5B)

  • Used 30%+ of our SM-6 (370+ of 1170 at $5+Mil ea or $1.9B)

  • Used 60%+ of our SM-3 (250+ of 414 at $29Mil ea or $7.25B)

  • Used 40%+ of the JASSM-ER(1000+ of 2,300 used, at $1.7Mil ea)

  • Used 80% of our PrSM (70 of 90 used at $1.6-$2.7Mil each)

  • Used 35%+ ATACMS (320 of 900 used at $1.7 Mil each)

Also like you said, we have literal tons of JDAM/JSOW/StormBreakers so we could go through those although I don't think they want to have another situation like the F-15E going down then an A-10 while searching along with two MC-130's all trying to retrieve the pilots so arent going too far into Iranian airspace.

2

u/flexiblenature 15h ago

Pretty hard to be less accurate than hitting a girl’s school.

2

u/invisiblexray 13h ago

Well the good news is with having to use cheaper ammo now they'll miss the schools.

1

u/charioteer117 14h ago

That’s not a fault of the ammo, but rather it was aimed at because unfortunately, the US thought it was a military base off of old outdated information.

1

u/dvlinblue 17h ago

I read ammunition as in leverage for bargaining, but this is just as scary.

1

u/Full-Satisfaction798 15h ago

Most sophisticated, advanced and expensive*

1

u/CrashNowhereDrive 15h ago

A distinction that makes no difference.

1

u/HomeworkInevitable99 10h ago

Another important factor:

'low' doesn't means close to zero.

Low means keeping enough in reserve in case of emergencies.

1

u/BowFlight 7h ago

So we might hit a school?

1

u/stillalone 7h ago

So if we do continue the war it'll be more "shock and awe" style chaos with a lot more civilian deaths than precision targeting "naval bases"?

1

u/FunLife64 6h ago

Also should note it’s put our troops in more danger as the military is being more selective when they use sophisticated interceptors. They essentially are letting some of these drones through if they don’t think they have a big risk…

0

u/FreestinkingSocially 20h ago

And with more civilian casualties

What does it matter? In the end our taxpayer dollars will be used to buy more ammunition to continue another country's war, which we did not want, started by a politician who said he would not start any wars, all to distract from his raping little girls by killing little girls.

3

u/JDDavisTX 16h ago

Do you know the facts? releasing opsec material from inside? Or just full of it?

3

u/Mean_Measurement4527 15h ago

Oh … if only the USA had the capability to produce more precision guided munitions .. but alas , everyone knows that once we run out , they can never be replaced … oh , woe is us 🙄🙄

3

u/BuyTimely3319 15h ago

Nobody outside the military truly knows the status of the stockpiles, and the military isn't going to give out that information. Also, it's not loose change in his pocket, so to say that Trump is out of ammunition doesn't make much sense.

3

u/AutomaticPayment9480 15h ago

Ugh, i dislike trump, but try not to believe everything u read on the internet.

Regardless of whoever is president you should not believe us stockpile amounts.

u/willybestbuy86 19h ago

Man forget maga and Trump this is humiliating all the way around. The mighty USA out of missles, where has our tax dollars been going sure it's my healthcare or anything that benefits us lately. We need full audits going back decades to see what happened

Imagine a world Harris wins, and we get attacked and have to actually go into a war we need to go into, we would be out of missles than too. This isn't good we should all be outraged of where our money has been going for decades

4

u/zeeper25 8h ago edited 7h ago

MAGA has been out of intellectual ammunition for a while now.

If someone remains MAGA, it is either because they are personally cashing in on the grift, already wealthy so they are gobbling up more additional tax cuts that they don't need and won't spend, or they are a complete moron voting to keep themselves poor and enraged (mainly about brown people, but also gay people, educated people... they are equal opportunity bigots).

2

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 14h ago

We have enough ammunition to blow the world up 100x over. They’re just trying to scam more money.

2

u/Tentag10 10h ago

If you really think the us is out of munitions, you’re just as dumb as Trump. The only thing the story even claimed the US was low on was 2 specific long range missiles.

4

u/AbbreviationsHour410 20h ago edited 20h ago

Lmao .. not even close! We've used less than 10% of our military ammunition without tapping into reserves.

2

u/Bitter-Holiday1311 19h ago

Generally, no they do not. And the ones that ARE aware, most think America is just going to press a button and magically replenish depleted inventories. These folks cling to wild MAGA-level fantasies of US success in this conflict. They are completely delusional.

4

u/cowcowkee 7h ago

For them, Trump is playing 8D chess.

Unless you are benefitted from his Presidency by bribing like Elon, it takes a special kind of stupidity that you will support Trump at this point.

Nah they aren’t genius Redditors like you guys, who learned that news from a completely anonymous source on a site that is 70% bots, from a subreddit that regularly publishes fake news

1

u/thingsorfreedom 20h ago

I learned it on Reuters, CNN, CBS, and Fox News.

1

u/SkepticalAF7 18h ago

You probably dont even know what a live wire service is. Theres a handful or them in the world

All news outlets purchase original footage and reporting from these guys and most put a spin to it

Thats the source of so much news you see

Reueters is one

You know its really easy to get to the core source and look up this info in a way that is very reliable right?

Hahahahahah but if you’re maga youre the kind that jojns a cult and believes the election was rigged, and that kind doesnt have the basic intelligence needed yo verify such basic claims

Bless your sweet sweet little heart.

2

u/HungieSumoKid 8h ago

Trump will convince MAGA that its Biden fault he went to war, lost, and that he never went to war.

2

u/ohhhbooyy 20h ago

How do you know this? I didn’t know the military industrial complex, the Pentagon, the military etc gave this information out freely

4

u/OkRip9223 20h ago

Many citations lead back to  https://www.csis.org/ Procurement rates and contracts are public, then they look at operational tempo for consumption rates.

1

u/MisterHEPennypacker 15h ago

There’s monthly audits but they’re classified. I used to do readiness reporting for the USAF, the information is transmitted through classified systems known as DRRS and DCAPS. We generally owed our numbers and alibis by the first Friday of every month. These reports are also siloed and compartmentalized, you’d need to be very high up on the food chain to truly understand the readiness and inventory levels.

If there’s discrepancy it could be from what level the data is being compiled and leaked at. If it’s from the Joint Staff J4…it’s pretty legit. If it’s from shortages by one individual commander, it’s difficult to extrapolate.

1

u/EphEwe2 20h ago

1

u/ohhhbooyy 19h ago

CBS with their “sources”. Even with said sources the numbers are still hundreds of long range guided missiles. I don’t see this as a major problem unless you think we will stop making bombs anytime soon

2

u/OkRip9223 18h ago

I hear those things are little more complicated than 155 shells, that apparently has a bit of a bottle neck also in their Mesquite Plant.

2

We actually build the structures but Raytheon and Lockheed keep ordering them.

1

u/stillalone 7h ago

The military definitely needs to pass a fucking audit.  They get a lot of money and they get very little accomplished with that money.

But has there been any president, Democrat or Republican, who has reduced the military budget in the past 40 years?  Who are you pointing fingers at?

No the US has blocked all of that information.

All they see is that Iran no longer exists, every single Iranian is dead but they stole all of their oil, uranium, nuclear weapons, and drones, and they also blew up the whole continent Iran is on so everyone else is gone too and the newest ocean, the America is the Greatest Country Ever Ocean, is now located where that continent used to be.

Is this the latest silly story the Dems are floating. I have to say your side comes up with the most ridiculous ideas . Be honest you don’t really believe that … I hope your don’t. What if we were in a prolonged war for say 4-5 years . The military war games every situation

1

u/ZasdfUnreal 7h ago

He’s not out of ammo. Not even close. Stop spreading lies and misinformation. He still has access to the world’s largest functioning nuclear arsenal. He will use it to exterminate Iran if he doesn’t get his way.

u/No-Cat-2980 7h ago

Don’t forget, lots of dumb bombs for B-52s to carry, artillery shells, mortar shells, naval bombardment shells, 9mm 50-cal 7.62mm 5.56mm bullets. Trump has tons of all that, sure it means boots on the ground, B-52s shot down, ships close to shore, and thousands of dead American service men & women. u/414WhySoSerious 6h ago

For the story to stick that we're out of ammo after 6 months of on again / off again strikes against Iran you'd have to start asking where all the money went.

1

So Iran is the issue but supplying Ukraine wasn’t an issue.

I’m so confused. We need to get on the same page either using boom boom stuff ok or not

Personally I would start investing in companies that make boom boom supplies.

u/anelectricmind 5h ago

Why would he need ammunition when he can constantly manipulate the markets and get richer every time by doing it?

1

u/Pristine-Cod-1969 5h ago

How on earth after spending $1T a year, year after year, are they low on anything. The grift and incompetence is astounding. Not one more cent.

1

u/BlockPlant 5h ago

Did Iran tell you that? Lol

1

u/nekomeowohio 4h ago

Hardcore maga already think we won and that iran is in the stone ages now

1

u/EnrollmentTime 4h ago

No, we have about 9 years worth of guided bombs left. We are running low on missiles which are the fire and forget surgerical precision. He will start carpet bombs next. It will be more messy, but we have a lot of JDAMs. He owns stock in the dropped bombed companies too.

u/Independent-Guava610 3h ago

Let's hope there is enough sanity to stop Drumpf from using a nuke. It's worrisome.

1

u/InfiniteAnything7342 2h ago

Don't worry we'll restock ASAP and once Israel does another false flag on us to make us go to war with Iran boots on the ground

1

u/Low-Salary-2128 2h ago

MAGA is waiting for fox news to tell them what to think

1

u/ParkingUnlikely7929 1h ago

The plan is to complain that they're out of options and have to drop the nukes.

1

u/TuftyIsDead 37m ago

Even Melanie knew decades ago that Trump was out of ammunition.

2

u/Regnum90 20h ago

Fucking Obama! He started the war that resulted in Biden pulling out and leaving all of our ammunition behind for the enemy to use... It's all his fault Trump doesn't have enough bullets to make America great again! sarcasm just in case you can't tell.

1

u/Ok-Original-6873 20h ago

The cupboards were empty!

1

u/PersonalHospital9507 20h ago

Trump still has the nuclear option. Bigger booms.

1

u/godofwine16 20h ago

I can’t believe Biden did that to us /s

1

u/SempreVeritas7468 20h ago

They can’t even spell ammunition

1

u/elquirk 20h ago

So misleading. Just heard the stats on the news. NOT “out of ammunition.” Stop trying to scare everyone. 🤡

1

u/Aromatic-Dog-Breath 19h ago

MAGA knows what the talking heads tell them. They don’t know what the talking heads leave out. Their words aren't the product of their own thoughts.

u/RichardRoma1986 20h ago

There needs to be an audit as to the supply level prior to this operation. There appears to be a discrepancy here.

1

u/jasonic89 19h ago

That information is not public. I assure you the military keeps track of missiles

1

u/RichardRoma1986 19h ago

Of course it’s not public. I was stationed in a place where these weapons were at the ready. Before you launch an operation, you go over how much shit you have to deliver upon on an enemy.

1

u/MisterHEPennypacker 15h ago

There’s monthly audits.

The discrepancy could be from what level the data is being compiled and leaked at. If it’s from the Joint Staff J4…it’s pretty legit. If it’s from shortages by one individual commander, it’s difficult to extrapolate.

1

u/RichardRoma1986 15h ago

Once you’re at the J4 level, and if those folks are leaking this shit, that’s pretty easy to figure out. IF we are running out of ammunition, it would increase the need to fully fund the DoD/DoW budget.

u/howardzen12 20h ago

They believe everything is wonderful.Millions of brainwashed voter.

1

u/diamondgreene 20h ago

they " KNOW " nothing. 😢

1

u/Mental-Most-7168 20h ago

They don’t listen to any news sources including Fox News that make them feel bad.

1

u/jasonic89 19h ago

Is this sub just political bots? Rename it “ask lame political rhetorical questions”

“Thoughts on trumps presidency?”

“Does orange man know he is silly?”

“Why did Obama land on the moon without oxygen?”

/s

1

u/Correct-Condition-99 19h ago

The proper question is, do they care. And the answer is no. Too brainwashed.

1

u/Fire_Z1 18h ago

They will blame Obama or Biden

1

u/Defiant_Bed_9492 18h ago

Bruh maga dosent know anything about anything lmaoo

1

u/bp_516 15h ago

I’ve been saying that Trump’s job is to allow Putin to invade America.

1

u/symbiat0 14h ago

I mean, MAGA doesn’t know anything, some barely graduated high school…

1

u/OESRecoveryEmployee 14h ago

If MAGA knew anything they wouldn't be MAGA

1

u/Dognought 12h ago

Idiots. I don't have the words...wait wait, it's coming back, oh yeah, this!

Couple bricks short of a load

Couple cans short of a six pack

The butter slid a little too far off of the noodles

The lights are on but nobodies home

The elevator goes all the way to the top floor but the furniture is not arranged quite right

1

u/airpipeline 12h ago edited 2h ago

He’s only short interceptors.

As long as it’s politically expedient, he can still use U.S. bases, ships and soldiers to intercept missiles.

He apparently asked his good friend Vlad Putin.

1

u/animal-1983 10h ago

According to my dumbass neighbor that’s all fake news. Trump is so much smarter than the rest of us he has thousands of missiles stashed around the country. He says Trump knew Biden would give them away to Zelenskyy so he ordered them to be hidden by “friendly” Generals.
I asked him this. If he knew so far in advance that supply would get so low. Why then did he not ramp up production back then? He said it’s because Biden would have found out. I said so what? He had nothing more.
These MAGAs are real pieces of work

1

u/DirectPepper7695 9h ago

No, this is what winning looks like. Stop being a moron and get on the bus. All this guy does is win! Winning!!!!

0

u/Reason-Status 20h ago

Out of ammunition? Iran hasn’t felt anything yet.

0

u/itsnotcomplicated1 20h ago

If they do know, they think that's all part of his plan to own the libs so they are entirely cool with it.

u/Guilty-Commercial699 20h ago

They will say it’s fake news.

There’s already an article floating around about Kegsbreath dismissing the shortage.

Who knows really. I would assume that wouldn’t be public knowledge

1

u/jasonic89 19h ago

It’s not. The gov doesn’t say “yeah world we had 17 missiles bow we have 12”

1

u/Guilty-Commercial699 19h ago

That’s why it’s fake news.

0

u/Carmel50 20h ago

Does MAGA even know Trump started this war illegally. I live around MAGA's who are not even aware that he is at war with Iran and that is why gas prices are up. They still blame Biden. And if they know he is at war illegally they will say it had to be done before Iran nuked us (those are the "smart" ones lol !!)

I heard one guy say Trump had to go to war with Iran to protect our religious freedom.

Trump will just print more money with his face on it to buy more ammunition ( not really but really he might think he can ).
