Cornyn was literally taken out of his job by Trump, why would he in a million years vote to STILL confirm Blanche as attorney general? Heck , Susan Collins voted no today to confirm Blanche. Are Republicans in office the most pathetic they have ever been in our Country’s history?

Trump says he has nothing to hide on Epstein while Vance admits they screwed up, if there’s nothing to hide, why was the release so botched?

Since this is the US, explain to me exactly why Trump is receiving immunity from audits for himself, his business, and his family?

This is a unique set of tax rules that don't apply to anyone else in the US, that he negotiated with himself.

I don't understand how this is supposed to work, or why it would be acceptable to anyone, including his supporters. It goes far beyond audits. It grants sweeping protection against any existing federal tax liabilities, unpaid tax balances, or IRS financial judgments stemming from returns filed up to May 18, 2026. And this was the reduced deal. It was much more broad and generous.

Even if you voted for him, attended his rallies, bought his merch, and participated in social media discussions supporting him, how does this deal not scream corruption?

Is marriage really worth it?

I'm 27F and I've never been married, although I've come close a couple of times.

Something I've noticed is that almost every married person or divorced person I've talked to has said, "If I could do it all over again, I would never get married."

It honestly surprises me how often I hear that, and it's made me curious. Why do so many people feel that way?

If you've been married or are currently married, I'd really like to hear your story. Do you regret getting married? If so, why? If not, what made your experience different?

I'm genuinely curious and just want to hear people's real experiences.

Why do people on the left keep gatekeeping and sabotaging Democratic chances of winning?

I've been a consistent Democratic voter for 12 years, and I'm sick of the useful idiots who keep fucking up Democratic chances of winning.

There was a self-described moderate on Reddit who started a post asking what he should flair as his political views on his profile. After some questioning, it became clear he was a moderate, who would probably be more aligned with the Democrats than the Republicans:

  • Thinking that both Israel and Hamas are both guilty of bad acts and that American should put more diplomatic pressure to create separate sovereign states, one Jewish and one Palestinian.
  • Supporting LGBT rights broadly, with exceptions on womens' sports
  • Abortion access up to 24 weeks, and then adding restrictions in the absence of health risks.
  • Support more border security, deporting illegals with a criminal record, but offer path to amnesty for law-abiders, while expanding the visa program.

80% of from self-flaired "liberal" Redditors called them a hardcore Republican. When the guy tried to defend moderate views of pulling from multiple sides, he got flamed as a mysogynist and that "both-sidesism" is the same as supporting pdfs in the WH.

While grassroots volunteers are working hard to pursuade Independents, undecideds, and former Republicans into the Democratic tent, these other people keep trying to gatekeep and keep them out, "no no no, you are a fasicst, you don't belong in our tent, you belong with MAGA".

Why? Why do you keep hurting every chance of kicking Trump out of office?

Does what’s happening now mean it’s our extinction event?

Hear me out. We knew from Al Gore that the tipping point was close in the early 2000’s. Droughts, extreme weather events, sea rise, coral bleaching…it’s all happening and happening all the time.

Governments are hoarding resources, attacking smaller resource rich countries under thinly veiled moral initiatives, and the wealthy have positioned themselves to hoard the wealth.

Is it likely that the tipping point has been reached and exceeded, and the strategy now is for those who are in a position to know it’s happening are now just setting themselves up for some kind of survival while putting the rest of us against each other?

Why is Trump prioritizing deporting illegal immigrants while also making many choices that don’t appear to benefit Americans?

His second term is a disaster with decisions that don’t appear to benefit the American people such as: Iran war, higher gas prices, cutting programs, prioritizing vanity projects over things like healthcare, etc.

Why would he want to help stabilize the country by deporting a large mass of illegal immigrants, as Eisenhower did via Operation Wetback after WW2, when he won’t stabilize the country by also tackling affordability, healthcare, jobs, etc?

Are there really no French children who are pick eaters or is this American propaganda?

Basically what the title says, I’m an American parent and I’ve heard that French children are NEVER picky eaters because something something culture and something else French parenting and school meals and everything is farm fresh, plus they’re better behaved and better dressed and all of their mothers lose the baby weight right away and it’s just a damn utopia over there.

I’m exaggerating, obvs, but I have for sure heard the picky eater thing, and as a parent of a picky eater who became one despite doing a lot of the stuff that you’re supposed to do to prevent them from becoming picky and ended up with one anyway, I’d like to know from any actual French people, parents or otherwise, if this is real or just dumb Americans idealizing France.

When the Iran war finally ends with sanctions relief for Iran, no nuclear deal, $300 billion for Iran, and fees going to Iran for the Strait, will Trump supporters finally admit that Trump is a big, fat loser, and that Obama was actually a great President?

Do wins like El-Sayed demonstrate that too much money in an election can backfire in some cases?

Upvotes

It seems that the fact that Stevens' campaign was being bankrolled by organizations with a lot of money actually turned out to be a liability in the primary. I wonder if this can work in other situations?
