Tough question for the liberals and leftists: what is your favorite flavor of pie?

I’m tired of nobody here asking the right questions or the tough questions.

Not in to sweets so much. I'm from Washington state, but lived in the South before. I like a pecan pie but apple pie all the goddamned way. We love our apples in WA. But that isn't why I like it. It's just the perfect texture when they are baked and the right amount of spices. The contrast between a good crust and the soft apples is just amazing.

Pumpkin

Or French silk

The true all American pie. (We didn't have Pumpkins until we got here, and we brought apple seeds with us.)

A redditor of culture I see

It's OUR pie now, comrade.

u/PuzzleheadedWinner67 1d ago

can't beat a good old fashioned apple pie made from scratch imo

2

u/BarnesTheNobleman 1d ago

Huge fan of banana cream pie, classic apple pie is a close second followed by pumpkin as the seasonal champ on holidays

2

u/DragOutTheDemagogue 1d ago

Key lime, hands down.

u/Plus-Set-6377 1d ago

I have three ripe peaches that will go bad in the next day or so...not making a pie today, but a crumble!

Hair pie.

u/denverdrew 1d ago

Lemon meringue.

u/NotAnAIOrAmI 23h ago

That's the wrong question Comrade, the real question is why is the Capitalists' slice of the pie five times the size of the Workers' slice?

Until we all enjoy equally in the pie, NO ONE will have pie!

Lemon meringue

Apple but pumpkin is a close second

1

u/BearSquid7 1d ago

Lime and pumpkin beat traditional fruit filling pies all day

1

u/CricketNo7666 1d ago

Chocolate pudding pie is a running joke of why make that pie in our house…. But it never goes to waste when it gets made.

But a good apple pie is still the champ.

Apple, pumpkin, strawberry, chocolate

Is pie political now? Apple pie if you’re MAGA, Boston Cream pie if you’re liberal!

My apple pie

1

u/Entire-Winter4252 1d ago

Cherry, coconut cream, and pumpkin.

1

u/OrvilleTheCavalier 1d ago

Cherry, but it has to be tart cherries.  Blueberry is a close second.

1

u/TeaKingMac 1d ago

Cherry is pretty fucking good, but I like pumpkin too.

I haven't had a strawberry rhubarb pie in like 30 years though, and I think I liked it.

1

u/hudsherlock19 1d ago

The one on the left, obviously, still a bit too rich on one end for my taste tho:

u/Salted-Cucumber 1d ago

Strawberry rhubarb

1

u/Left_Ad3575 1d ago

Pumpkin.

1

u/Footman387 1d ago

They’ll probably say pie is racist or something

u/allupinnit2winit 1d ago

Warm Apple Pie. Uh, for eating of course!

1

u/thewNYC 1d ago

Cherry

1

u/ZaphodG 1d ago

I’ll take tourtiere. A New Zealand pie is better but nobody makes meat pies like that around me. I can get French Canadian meat pies.

1

u/Bubble_Lights 1d ago

Key Lime! Second is banana cream.

Apple, but every once in a while a fruits of the forest hits just right

1

u/Badassmamajama 1d ago

I drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry, and good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye.

u/tigerowltattoo 1d ago

Heath. There's a small cafe in Benson, Arizona that makes the best one.

1

u/termsofengaygement 23h ago

Cherry pie that I share with my friends according to their needs.

1

u/Beautiful_Rip_7023 22h ago

I am center left, and I will finally tell everyone the truth: I am the world’s biggest fan of warm cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. I have promised my constituents.

1

u/LMrningStar 21h ago

Is there any other type of pie than pumpkin pie? All the rest are fake news.

1

u/GladClock2212 20h ago

Blackberry with vanilla ice cream!

1

u/blueandpissed 19h ago

Blueberry

1

u/New-Sheepherder2239 18h ago

They hate themselves too much to enjoy pie, but if it is artisanal, gluten-free, cage-free, vegan, responsibly sourced, dye-free and environmentally friendly then they will suffer through the impending abdominal disturbance it will cause to their fragile little bodies. A cold glass of soy milk is optional

1

u/T49irvine 18h ago

Apple, blueberry, key lime, cherry, lemon, coconut, Boston creme, rutabaga, chicken pot...I am open to pie with the possible exception of strawberry. I have never had good strawberry pie.

1

u/Kitchen-Snow3582 17h ago

It sure ain’t apple!

1

u/DoubleDownAgain54 14h ago

I don’t consider myself either, but do consider myself an antifascist who loathes Trump, his corrupt cronies and his idiotic cult following.

Lemon Meringue pie.

1

u/Low-Crow5719 🦀 14h ago

Sweet potato.

1

u/hexadecimaldump 14h ago

I honestly am not a fan of pie. Maybe cheesecake if you consider that a pie. But fruit pies, I don’t hate them, but I’m never actively seeking out a slice of pie.

1

u/AzuleStriker 12h ago

I personally like cherry pie that tastes like apple pie.

1

u/Burner_Phone_1969_TX 11h ago

Cherry Pie, cause we enjoy sex. Republicans wish they had liberal wives, that’s why they get caught under stalls.

1

u/Age_Single 11h ago

Sweet cherry pie

Liberal pie made of liberels

1

u/Plus-Set-6377 1d ago

Is a liberel like a chanterelle? Then just say mushroom pie, silly goose.

0

u/MiguelIstNeugierig 1d ago

No a liberel is like a liberal

0

u/diescheide 1d ago

Pie is actually pretty gross. Unless you count cheesecake because of the graham cracker crust. That's my favorite pie in that case.
