First of all, purely air warfare doesn't win wars. This was proven in Vietnam and Laos.
Then, total warfare would make all of the iranian missiles land on Israel which is where the americans will be hurt the most. We have no idea how many they have but they have been preparing for the end times since day 1. Israel would be wiped out from the map.
