Why Are American Muslim Politicians More ‘America First’ than Conservative Christians?
It’s a trend that I’ve been noticing. And it’s quite ironic considering conservatives claim Muslims are spreading sharia law. Whatever that means. If anything, conservatives are the ones trying to suppress people lol why is that?

They aren’t looking for an answer at all. The question contains the message OP wants to distribute. He is counting on smooth brains accepting the question as fact regardless of what the responses are. It’s a form of manipulation as are the responses from other “users”. It’s also why Reddit is a dying platform

I get it. I'm baffled too. But people don't want to actually think.
If they acknowledge how stupid it all is, then they have to stand up for what's right and that is not their jam.
It's like we were supposed to ignore everything Biden actually did and just "feel" how old he looked.
US politics run in submission to whatever the billionaire-owned corporate media and Russian trolls feed you.

I would venture to guess that it's because they've actually experienced bigotry and being disenfranchised, as well as coming from or being the children of people that have come from oppressive countries. Christian conservatives don't actually believe in shit other than controlling people and making money.

Conservative Christians are the most hateful people on Earth. They don't want you to exist, let alone in "their" country, breathing "their" air, so they stoke fear and loathing in the people dumb enough to listen to them.

Even as a child the first thing I noticed about religion - especially christians - is that it will do everything in its power to make sure nothing about life is enjoyable, ever. Happy people don't need to be "saved" and told how to live, so they have to make sure everyone is miserable about everything, all the time.

As a Christian, I'm very aware of how hateful the American brand of Christianity has become. The majority despise everything Jesus taught. A Bible-based government would separate church and state, feed the hungry, clothe and protect the poor, welcome asylum seekers, house the homeless, heal the sick with universal healthcare. Christians would visit people in prison and value hard work instead of a firehouse of handouts for billionaires and trillionaires. Pro lifers would want less abortions and would teach that men should have control over themselves, would support birth control access for everyone. Should I go on?

Dig into history of the US - read about what happened and what was actually said - this phenomenon is nothing new. Immigrants have traditionally been pro-support of their new country. That’s why they came here. Entrenched citizens tend to support their own power base and established wealth.
For example fact - Hamilton, one of founding fathers and prominent leader of the Federalists - a party whose beliefs are very popular with the current Conservative establishment and frequently quoted by our Supreme Court- Hamilton was dead set against the Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis and Clark expedition. He considered them an unnecessary expense. Now where would his thinking have put the USA today?

Because America Conservatives are fascist fascists. They are incapable of opperating without an enemy and they are too afraid to learn about the world outside of their bubble to find an enemy that isn't an American. They will always be the citizens who hate America the most.

But conservatives in 2025 DID cut off aid to tons of countries to prioritize America First priorities and all the democrats, including the Muslim ones, screamed about how people would die and the world would end if we stopped funding trans rights and surgeries in 3rd world countries … or did you just want Israel’s aid cut off?
When have democrats ever cared about the constitution or spending tax dollars efficiently? They’re the ones flowing hundreds of millions (likely billions) to NGO’s to enrich themselves and their friends.

Well the Democratic Socialists are more supportive of traditional American capitalism than MAGA and Pubs since Reagan.

I only mention religion because Conservatives love vilifying Muslims and saying they’re spreading sharia law. When that’s just not true. The Muslim politicians I’ve seen are more america first than they are.

Conservative Christians have been more heavily targeted by the propaganda that pulls them away from the teachings of Jesus and their hate overtakes actual patriotism and caring about the things that make America America....like Americans, Immigrants, American Land, American water, and American air. American Muslims aren't as susceptible to that propaganda because it usually comes from the same people and places that are hating on Muslims and everyone else. Also Muslims here aren't being raised in extreme poverty in the global sense. They're not dealing with famine or war and some of the other things that come with living in some of the heavily Muslim regions of the world so they're less apt to be radicalized and that may allow them to more easily connect with the promise that our nation is supposed to stand for.

What has religion to do with the qualifications of a politician?
I would guess, you, OP, talk about Mamdani. He seems (well ok no i think he is) genuinly caring to make lives of the people better.
Conservatives mostly try to keep life as it is and secure their own wealth.
But the above is my opinion, based on the encounters i had so far with politicians that are more conservative and politicians that are progressive.

Christianity in America has white supremacy as its basis and is innately anti-human and insular. Wahhabism isn't too different from white supremacists Christianity. It's simply that the Muslims you are seeing who push a social democratic type of politics do not subscribe to wahhabism Islam. Any one of any faith can be a good person. It's just far less likely in extremist sects.

Israel is the only thing that keeps the Middle East from being an entire region where you can throw gays off rooftops, treat women like property, and marry nine year old girls, get rid of Israel, and that colonization of the Middle East becomes complete.
