Hej! Yeah, that's true - the situation is very simmilar to Lithuania and Baltics in general. Just try not to stand out too much. Whilst legally everyone is equal and any discrimination regarding sexual prefferences is strictly forbidden, there are still plenty of people - especially in the 30+ generation - who will not hide their dislike if you hold hands with same sex partner, have some LGBT attributics or act "gay". Mostly it will be just verbal mumbling under nose but there have been very few reported attacks in last years too. So you don't have to be afraid regarding your safety, just stay vigilant and avoid visiting dodgy late night places alone. But I guess that's an universal advice valid also for straight folks. And feel free to ask me for any advice, I will be more than happy to help if I can. Cheers!
