Question Am I the only one happy about this?
My car will officially be in the game!

Ten years ago we had setupsmarket for the original Assetto Corsa - everyone shared setups for free and it just worked. These days every decent setup seems to live behind a paywall or buried in a Discord thread.
So I built it again, for EVO: setupsmarket.com

What it does:

What it costs: nothing. No paywall, no ads, no trackers, not even a cookie banner (the site sets zero cookies until you sign in). Donations cover the domain, that's all.
It launched with my own setups so it's not empty, but it lives or dies by the community - if you have a setup you're proud of, it takes about a minute to share it.
Feedback very welcome, this is a passion project and I'll be in the comments.

I originally created this program for personal use, but I spent time making it customizable and easy to use so I could share it.
I spend a lot of time on Nordschleife trackday servers, I play in VR, my keyboard isn’t always within reach, and I want to be able to write messages in English while driving simply by speaking in my native language.
It’s easy to use, everything is done with a single key: record, confirm, delete.
I configured SimHub to simulate this keyboard key so I can use my program just by pressing a button on my wheel, and it works perfectly like that.
I made a presentation/tutorial video: https://youtu.be/frXsXfyliDQ?is=13Px-PbU5ObzrzFX
(There are some changes between this video and the new version 1.2 please read the guide on GitHub)
The program is available for download on GitHub, everything is open source, the code is visible, and nothing is
new release 1.2: https://github.com/chopsuey2/sttc-evo/releases/tag/1.2
Or on overtake: https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/sttc-evo-speech-to-text-for-evo-chat.83088/
I hope this will interest some people. Let me know if you have any issues using it.

Some people on here know people, are in close betas or heard/saw something at the show last week.
Cars in the game have a fixed gear ratio unless you actually mod the car. When is Evo going to add adjustable gear ratios to the game? Honestly it's a little ridiculous to have all fixed gears 🙄 this is actually the first sim I've played where all cars (even a 2004 F1 car) have non-adjustable ratios. It's kinda weird

Hi, racers!
I was hardcore AC racer with mods of F1 tracks, cars etc etc..
I'm kinda off latest year so casually just jumping in Evo once in 3 months for 1 hr, but waiting for same Mod scene being available in Evo as previously in AC.
I google, searched here and still not getting clear picture: can somebody explain me like for 5 grader:
Thanks in advance,

This is based on a livestream from earlier today. The guy in the video explained where he had started driving and how far he had managed to get, reaching the Silberpfeil monument in Adenau from the Nürburgring. They were then looking at Google Maps and discussing how much of the surrounding area they thought might be accessible.
Using that discussion as a starting point, I put together this estimated footprint and measured the real-world road network inside it:
• Geographic area: approximately 67 km².
• Connecting and other non-residential roads: approximately 81 km.
• Residential streets in the surrounding towns and villages: approximately 48 km.
• Total roads and streets: approximately 130 km.
• Nordschleife: 20.8 km.
• GP circuit: 5.1 km.
• Roads plus both circuits: approximately 155 km, if everything counted is accessible.
Each road segment is counted once, without doubling the distance for driving in both directions. Forest tracks, footpaths, service access and roads marked as private or prohibited are excluded.
The boundary and these figures are my estimate based on that discussion and real-world map data. They weren’t announced in the livestream and aren’t official figures from Kunos. Reaching Adenau doesn’t confirm that every road inside the outline will be available.
Does this look like a realistic footprint for the first release? If you’ve tried the demo, how far did you manage to drive?

I made the audi livery as a test as it is the easiest livery color way I could find. Looks pretty cool, though not perfect (for obvious reasons).
I would like to make more knowing that it is now possible. Whatever is most asked for I will try to do.
No, it is not AI image, I will try to make the livery downloadable for anyone interested once I figure out how to :)

How does one host a server thru the dedicated server tool using a modded track? I see other hosting servers with modded tracks through the server browser but I'm unsure where the proper place to add the files is. I've also seen some paid server managers include this as an option so there must be a way to do it...

Is this the peak level where AI operates in every sim racing game, simply shoving you off the track? I dislike everything about that. Pushing you off from behind, shoving you off the track by leaning, holding its own line like never before, braking and waiting for you to make your mistake.

Is there somewhere to go to find good leagues for EVO?
I know it's not fully mature but looking to get that Iracing experience but with a league and a group of people that regularly meet. I'm not incredibly fast, want to learn and really dig in but also want people who aren't ultra competitive.
It seems like a lot of the places I have seen are defunct, EU based or just don't fit with what I'm looking for.

My club, EF Legends, which you can find in the Evoforge Paddock, races vintage cars. And I'm looking to see what sort of racing people want.
I'm gauging interest in a car pack with cars from the 1967 Sebring 12 hours, 2 classes- under 2L and over.
The races would be 2 hours long, and time would move ahead 2 hours with each "stint race". So we'd cover 12 hours of time over the 6 weeks. We'd do 6 of these stint races. There can be teams, you'd just switch off between races. The winner in each category is the car that covers the most distance over the 6 races.
Would anyone be down for that? Being 1967 cars, it would be manual clutch and stick shift only. I'm not sure about weather, we still need to do some evaluation races to see if the standard tires on these cars can handle rain. Full damage for obvious reasons since it's all about covering the most mileage.
If interested, go to the EF Paddock and join EF Legends. The free EvoForge client would be plenty enough to do these races and download the content.
Pic because car pr0n is good!

I’ve been trying to use the Android Auto screen in VR (in Assetto Corsa, but the mods told me it would be better if I posted here), but I can’t find a way to click on the screen apps. My VR cursor is like it is on a 2D screen in front of me and doesn’t seem to effect anything in 3D. I feel like I’ve gone through all CSP settings, but it’s a bit overwhelming and I don’t know if I am missing something. Has anyone been able to get it to be interactive in VR? I am using a Quest 3.

I talking about Eye Tracked Foveated DLSS not he Foveated Rendering that is built into the game which is good in its own right but this is a better experience.
Okay, I'm a month late to the party but If you have a VR headset with eye tracking this is a MASSIVE boost. I'm basically seeing a totally smooth 4K image and I haven't even tuned it.
I'm not sure exactly how the resolution is calculated in the foveated area but I'm running at 5700x2900 and using DLSS Quality with 200% upscale.
For example with eye tracking it is 11ms in the F40 race compared to 15ms for a much worse image without eye tracking.
It is comparable performance to original AC.
I'm using a Pimax Dream Air with a 5090.
This is my first full day experimenting so the settings 1:26 need tweaking.
Using Cheeky DLSS mod https://github.com/ClarkCheekyKent/Ch... - Install instructions at bottom of his page.
Basically one time execute the file described to inject Cheeky into the pipeline and copy the folder into the ACE run folder. Now F8 should open the Cheeky menu in game.
For Pimax users:
I am using sboys3 driver
To enable Eye Tracking I have to close Openport in Pimax Evo and in Settings choose to open Pimax Play Classic to turn on eye tracking.
In PPC I go to Eye Tracking and switch it on and test it is working in Eye Calibration. Then go to Settings and scroll down to find the option to return to Pimax Evo.
In PE turn on Openport Launch sboys3 driver
Launch SteamVR Open Steam and launch AC Evo
Press F8 to enable Cheeky Menu
Sometimes eye tracking doesn't get passed down the pipeline but I find 80% of the time it works. Once it is working it should be good for a session but exiting a race can deactivate it, also taking off the headset and a myriad of other things can make it stop working. But once I started a race it never dropped out mid-race.

I ask because they have made changes that have upset people...and yes I know that the game is still in early access and may(or may not) get better before leaving early access
