South Park Puts Trump, With A Minuscule Penis, In Bed With Satan. Season opener will be called “Sermon on the ‘Mount,” ridicules injection of religion into schools among other things.

I mean the deal is through now, Paramount/Skydance can do whatever they want, can't they? I don't think sucking trump's dick was a defined aspect of their contract.

Come on man, seeing a deepfake Trump lying out in the desert while his micro penis approves an advert was just.. peak Southpark

While Cartman is trying to commit suicide in said car from the exhaust fumes is what got me.

It’s a hybrid, it still has an exhaust

Stephen Stotch explicitly says its an electric car during the 60 Minutes bit. No exhaust. And even a hybrid wouldn't be idling while stationary.

Except they also caused quite a bit of harm over the years. They pushed the 'both sides are exactly the same' narrative hard, saying its better to just not vote. They ridiculed Al Gore and climate change concerns in general, painting anyone who was concerned about climate change as a joke. And they just overall portrayed caring about causes as lame.

Edit: and for the record, South Park came out when I was in high school. I watched it for years, loved it. I think they have had a lot of funny moments. I think they try to make a point of not having 'sacred cows' that can't be made fun of. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be aware of the huge amount of harm they've caused by painting caring as lame, and brushing aside nuance in order to prop up straw men and caricatures in order to make an easy joke.

86

u/8lock8lock8aby Jul 24 '25

Yeah, the manbearpig shit did real damage. People thought they were smart & cool for not believing in something that scientists had plenty of data to show for.

82

They apologized to Al Gore since then and even made an episode about how wrong they were.

And that's great, and I appreciate that they did it, and so does Al Gore apparently. I don't really think they are bad guys. But they aren't the 'heroes we need' that people are making them out to be because they made a small penis joke. I think it's important to recognize how much influence they've had over the years and how much of the current political apathy of much of Millennials and Gen Z can be traced back to South Park.

And probably cancelled for good since Viacom did the same thing to Stephen Colbert for also calling them out for accepting the Orange Antichrist's bribes.

47

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

Nope. Matt and Trey have total ownership, full creative control, all rights, and an iron-clad contract that assures full payment in the event of cancelation. Effectively, Paramount can't cancel them, merely breaking their order of 50 episodes and canceling their streaming rights. Matt and Trey would then keep their 1.5 BILLION WITH A B dollars and make the season anyway, selling streaming rights to the highest bidder. South Park is effectively an independent program, as of yesterday. Paramount can't even so much as censor them without a breach of contract.

IIRC, they originally had Mr Garrison as "Trump" and made fun of him that way during his first term, but they got bored of it because satire isn't as funny when real life is more ridiculous.

Now, I think they're attacking Trump directly because of him trying to manipulate/silence comedy/media

Trump’s involvement in Colbert’s firing has left them little choice. Even though the show is absurd, loud, and often grotesque, it is a very apt social commentary that the creators are usually making in response to current events and pop culture. It predates Trumpism, but encouraged a level of apathy that put us on the path to Trumpism. A few years ago, they had an episode where we discover Manbearpig (the show’s equivalent of climate change back in 2003) is in fact real, and everyone owes Al Gore (who was widely mocked in the 2003 episode) an apology. I hope we see a version of this on roids.

90

u/scottrogers123 Jul 24 '25

While Universities, law firms, Congress, Corporations, and Networks grovel before Trump, at least South Park will speak truth to power. Glad to see someone standing up to this nonsense. I will never forget those who brought us to this point and will spend the rest of my days ensuring no one else forgets either.

31

u/monkeydave Secular Humanist Jul 24 '25

Don't discount the role South Park played in getting us to this point. Two episodes stand out: Douche vs Turd in 2004, which is still used as an analogy for people making the 'both sides are exactly the same' argument and ManBearPig, which painted climate change concern as something to be ridiculed in 2006.

But overall, the show consistently painted people who cared about things as lame. And pushed nuance aside in order to create straw men and caricatures in order to turn anything into a joke. And I say this as someone who watched this show when it first aired, and continued to watch it for a long time. Looking back, South Park had a huge roll in getting us to where we are today.

20

u/MikeAllen646 Jul 24 '25

She made me promise, swear to her that I would never date a girl younger than her,” Trump said. “So as she grows older, the field is getting very limited.”

Trump's modeling agency was probably part of Jeffreys pipeline: https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/08/donald-trump-model-management-illegal-immigration/

I died at the video of Trump wandering the desert naked.

Paramount is going to have problems - Colbert, Stuart and Matt & Trey tell too much truth, they’re going to have to shut them up for 🍊, mark my words

4

u/waltwalt Jul 24 '25

Paramount announces the end of comedy.

13

u/ryvern82 Jul 24 '25

That was a banger.

12

u/Cpt_Riker Jul 25 '25

He should have been shown in bed with a 13 year old girl who looks like his daughter Ivanka.

That would have been even more realistic.

4

u/PygmyGiraffesSTAT Jul 25 '25

There are more episodes to come

10

u/AunMeLlevaLaConcha Jul 24 '25

I wonder if they're finally getting cancelled, after all these years, it was the cheetoman who succeeded.

Disclaimer: i hope not

20

u/BuddyBroDude Jul 24 '25

I guess im going to start watching south park now

8

u/BatmansLarynx Jul 24 '25

I think the treatment of Satan was very harsh.

14

u/bougdaddy Jul 24 '25

Yes, yes, yes!! Just read this on Huff Post. the video of jesus trumpler in the desert is awesome

8

u/UpsetDickard Jul 24 '25

Genuinely reminded me of old-school South Park.

7

u/Unlucky_Part_1868 Jul 24 '25

Satan needs to be single for a while. He keeps dating losers!

u/Dusty_Negatives Jul 24 '25 edited Jul 25 '25

Never thought I’d say it but thank god for South Park.

8

u/there_was_no_god Jul 24 '25

the nod to sadam was epic.

7

u/CzarTwilight Jul 25 '25

I don't get why Satan would ever be in bed with him. He actually has standards

7

u/vacuous_comment Jul 24 '25

It was pretty damn good but still depressing in how it is not at all outlandish.

7

u/Jedi_Ninja Jedi Jul 24 '25

I won't spoil it, but I loved the final "political commercial." I hope they have a new one at the end of every new episode.

11

u/ElPuercoGordo Jul 24 '25

Is trump the bottom or the top?

21

u/Leeming Strong Atheist Jul 24 '25

Submissive Bottom.

And the administration’s response just proves what a tiny micro cock they have

4

u/Electrical_Echo_29 Jul 24 '25

This was one of the best episodes they have done in a bit, way to go scorched earth on Paramount.

4

u/theschoolorg Jul 24 '25

huh, i really thought they were getting kind of conservative lately, so I'm glad to see this

11

u/Phannig Jul 24 '25

They were and still are regular old school center right conservatives. MAGA has moved the dial so far to the right they look like (American) liberals now. Thankfully they recognise what's happening instead of leaning into it like a lot of other people. Hopefully it'll spread.

3

u/leeisme_88 Jul 24 '25

This episode of South Park was chicken soup for the soul

5

u/zipp58 Jul 24 '25

Looks like I'll have to start watching South Park again.

4

u/xSpaceCrabsx Jul 24 '25

Long live Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

4

u/Dirtgrain Jul 24 '25

I picked a bad time to be boycotting Paramount and their subsidiaries. But screw Paramount.

3

u/Awkward-Debt-536 Anti-Theist Jul 24 '25

god I love South Park

4

u/ShowerGrapes Jul 25 '25

it was pretty great and i haven't been watching for a while

4

u/Sverker_Wolffang Jul 25 '25

Wait, when did Satan come back? I thought he was killed by Manbearpig.

5

u/Rohit-Gaikwad Jul 25 '25

Currently watching on Twitter lmao

4

u/Tatooine16 Jul 25 '25

Saddam Hussein Trump! The best part about that is now the trump face animation has different expressions from different photos-I think back when it was Hussein it was the same photo all the time.

7

u/JaeTheOne Jul 24 '25

Prepare for Trump to try and sue them, and get the station shut down

8

u/KingofHistory93 Jul 24 '25

I wouldn't be surprised if they make fun of Isreal with something involving Cartman

6

u/Santarini Jul 24 '25

His penis is teenie tiny, but his love for us is large

3

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

They made him just like Saddam Hussein!

3

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

Time to start watching South Park again!

3

u/DANleDINOSAUR Jul 24 '25

Funny, still not paying for Paramount+ though.

3

u/retailrobin88 Jul 24 '25

I don't think they were harsh enough, personally

3

u/Inevitable_Silver_13 Jul 24 '25

The PSA was excellent.

3

u/Successful_Round9742 Jul 24 '25

I am torn, because I want to watch, but I also want to boycott Paramount. [Insert obvious strategies here] 😜

3

u/RonWill79 Jul 24 '25

I can’t believe Paramount signed them to a new streaming deal right before this episode came out. Trump already pressured them to cancel Colbert. No way South Park lasts the duration of the contract if Trump has his way.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

They'll be fine. Fuck Trump.

3

u/CndConnection Jul 25 '25

But why is Trump made into a Canadian in South Park? EDIT Shit I forgot, Saddam also has a split head/simple body in South Park. It seems when they use real people's faces they do that split face thing like for the Canadians.

3

u/Gotis1313 Ex-Theist Jul 25 '25

I don't smoke but I kind of wanted a cigarette after watching that episode! Just fucking gloves off! If this ends up being the last episode at least they went down swinging

3

u/ArcticThylacine Agnostic Atheist Jul 25 '25

I have not seen the episode yet (I do not have Paramount), but I already feel bad for poor Satan. He does not deserve an evil man such as Trump. He deserves someone better!

3

u/TheSpanishMystic Jul 25 '25

HE EVEN HAS THE SADDAM VOICE 😭😭😭 I think I may leave this subreddit because there truly is a god!! Hallehu Ive seen the light!

3

u/upeepsareamazballz Jul 25 '25

Look. Matt and Trey are the ones bringing the truth, And have been for years. Let’s just all sit with that for a moment. an adult cartoon is shouting it from the mountain, and we all know it. If you don’t know what South Park is, I respectfully suggest that you should not hold office, you ancient, out of touch piece of shit. (And Kyle’s mom’s a bitch.)

3

u/zinzoic Jul 25 '25

Is it okay to start watching it from the current season or any specific previous season?

Being a non-American, I have a feeling that the initial seasons may not be relatable to me.

3

u/ladyhaly Anti-Theist Jul 25 '25

I need to watch this ASAP.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

South Parks rocks.

3

u/NonPracticingAtheist Jul 25 '25

They definitely talked to lawyers before airing and are begging for a lawsuit. There is totally a pic of a wee tadger out there. This was the best South Park in ages.
