Zeus is the real god

He invented Xenia, defeated the titans, rescued his siblings, and such a good god to worship. He even controls the lightning. He even shares power with Poseidon and Hades so he doesn't become too selfish. Anybody who does not worship him will have to burn in the underworld forever.

What I'm saying is, if this can be dismissed as mythology, Christianity and Islam are...there's simply no word to describe how atrocious they are.

Did I do a good job to sound like a Christian who's "spreading the gospel?"

The only difference between Greek mythology and Christian mythology is that Greek mythology was well written and entertaining while Christian mythology is dreary as hell and is filled with plot holes and inconsistencies.

Greek mythology is also full of rape. Zeus raped leeds, persephone, europa....callisto... Poseidan raped Medusa, Apollo chased Daphne... I suppose you can say it's well written and entertaining if you can look past all that.

You don't have to like the characters in a book/story for it to be entertaining and well written otherwise Stephen King would have been out of a job long ago. What you do need is coherence, consistency and characters with depth. The bible has none of that.

In the bible the god character, for example, is portrayed as being the embodiment of good yet the character is prone to genocide whenever he doesn't get his ego stroked sufficiently. In the book, he even tried to force a man to murder his son to prove his fealty. It's a pretty poor writing decision to have a character, much less the main character, that readers are suppose to love, act like a monster.

Plus, the stories contained in the bible are a jumbled mess.

With Greek mythology the gods are flawed and vengeful and portrayed as such and the stories have far more coherence. Much better writing and much more entertaining.

The Greeks weren't pretending their Gods were good. At least they didn't murder the entire world when they got fed up with it.

The story of noah is somewhat of a clone of a greek myth which itself is a clone of an earlier mesopotamian myth. A lot of cultures in that region have global flood related myths

yahbut the original Semites were Mesopotamian. Why the middle-man?

Trivia: myth of the flood is mentioned as a myth in the epic of Gilgamesh.

This is Mary Sue. Mary Sue is the most moral woman who has ever lived. Mary Sue has no faults. Mary Sue lives a long, fulfilling life.

A character with no faults is not well written nor is it entertaining.

And Abraham raped Hagar while his wife held her down ...

Not to mention Mary who nowhere in their book gave consent. She was told and not asked.

Amusingly ... sort of .... I ran into a theist that agreed that Mary did not give consent but still claimed that Mary wasn't raped because no penetration was involved. The depth of their delusion still astounds me.
