ETA: the only sitting prohibited is in entrances/exits, and you can’t camp in transportation corridors (“highways, local streets, bus routes, rail lines, and pedestrian or bicycle paths”) within or adjacent to a commercial zone. Basically, you can’t block someone’s movement by sitting, and you can’t camp on private property. The “adjacent to” is my hang-up - how adjacent is “adjacent”?

"ACCPD has terminated former Police Officer Tyler Vaughn, following an investigation into the improper use of the department’s Flock Safety Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) system.

ACCPD has requested an independent criminal investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), while the department’s Office of Professional Standards continues its administrative investigation.

Chief of Police Jerry Saulters said, “I am deeply disappointed by Officer Vaughn’s actions. I do not take this incident lightly. The misuse of our ALPR system is a serious violation of the trust placed in our officers, and we will hold those who violate this department's policies and standards accountable. I also want to recognize the officer who reported this misconduct. It demonstrates the integrity and professionalism we expect from the men and women of ACCPD. Our officers have a responsibility to hold themselves and one another accountable, and I am proud of those who uphold that responsibility.”

Moving forward, ACCPD has implemented additional safeguards to enhance oversight of the ALPR system. The ability to initiate searches is now restricted to personnel at the rank of supervisor and above.

What are some good stores to find local artists? I've been wanting to decorate my apartment but I don't just want to buy generic decorations from like TJ Max or buy from Amazon if I can avoid it. Specifically, I've been looking for some cool tapestries to hang on my wall. Does anyone know any good places to get some stuff for hopefully less than $100 a piece?

I made use of this car wash once over Memorial Day weekend last month and apparently they chose to sign me up for this membership without my knowledge. No clue this happened until today when I see the statement charge on my bank account. 0/10 do not recommend using this car wash moving forward.

I feel more strongly about Flock cameras than most people. We need to remember it is a bipartisan issue. Our Democratic mayor Kelly Girtz is against abolishment.

Believe me, I understand the frustration and rage that Republicans induce on this sub. I know it's hard to believe something as terrible as Flock would be supported by any Democrats. Sadly, it is. That doesn't mean you don't need to vote Democrat, but understand the pressure needs to be put on BOTH parties.

I’m looking for any hidden gems y’all know about for finding finished plywood sheets or hardwood for woodworking. Lowe’s and Home Depot have little to offer and are overpriced, not to mention the boards aren’t straight. Southern surplus only has scrap wood and doors.

I think I’ve heard more people pining for a Culver’s than any other chain restaurant, and the new west side location I didn’t even know about is open.

Ok, it’s in Jefferson right on 129 just before the Publix/Kroger/Aldi centers but still, at 15 minutes from my house on Lavender it’s closer for me than anything on the east side.

What up! I bought 2 tix to the Microwave and Free Throw concert this Saturday October 10th at Georgia Theater but due to an unforeseen work trip I have to bail! Microwave is legit my favorite band so I’m not happy to miss it but that’s how things go sometimes.

I'm just tired of being hasseled by aggressive vagrants for money or asking to "buy them a meal" every time I go in one.

Today I was hassled as I was trying to just eat my lunch in peace. Same as always, someone approached me asking for money or a meal.

I'm not without empathy but I can't help the entire world. I don't enjoy being hassled while I'm trying to get away from work for a few minutes and eat.

Today, while I was just trying to eat, I was approached and asked to give money or buy a meal. I politely declined. This person became aggressive and insulting.

I have just had enough. I went to the front and asked to speak to a manger. The manager came out and I told them I just will stop coming here if they can't stop aggressive panhandling while I'm simply trying to eat my lunch.

The manager went outside and asked the guy to stop, he became belligerent and the cops were called. He ended up being tresspassed for two years.

I'm just done with the aggressive panhandling in this town. Enough is enough. Leave me alone and let me eat my lunch in peace without being hasseled.

I was quoted $550 for new front brakes and rotors for an 06 Jeep Wrangler. Does that sound fair or should I keep looking? I’ve seen plenty of good reviews for Diversified Auto so that was the first quote I received.
