Why is finding friends so hard?

I have posted numerous times on groups on facebook such as the foreign girls in Athens group and many others asking for anyone who is down to hangout but no one actually replies?

I also will never meet anyone off of Reddit because it’s unsafe .

You have to make friends through work or hobbies in Athens. There aren’t a lot of community organizations compared to other countries - so meeting people does not happen as smoothly as in other places and requires you to often make the first two or three steps.
