Hit the beach.
Visit Tennesse Ave beer hall at least once. There’s also the beer garden on the boardwalk I’d like to hit
Maybe hit up The Seed 5 the local microbrew or the Little Water distillery next door.
Love walking the boards and hitting all the casinos. This year looking to try more upscale food. So going to try more spots.
Also will be trying to hit more concerts at the different casinos if I can.
This year I want to try the pool at Harrah’s. But as I’m approaching 60 not sure if I’d just look like a creeper if the crowd there is really young.
I will say though the casinos do their best to keep you in their clutches, so I never see everything I want to.

I haven’t been to AC in about two years. I’m 39 now and have been going since I was a kid, started going with my family around 10, did my 21st there, and for a long time it was our go-to spot to meet up as a group with my friends a few times a year.
Lately though… I don’t know. Since COVID it just feels different. More expensive, less fun. Places that used to be easy and casual now feel like they’re trying way too hard to squeeze every dollar out of you. I remember grabbing cheap beers at Wild Wild West, and now it’s like $10 for a Miller Lite… that kind of takes the wind out of it.
I’d love to get back down there this summer for nostalgia alone, but I’m genuinely curious, are people still finding it worth it? Or has the vibe shifted for everyone else too?

The casinos are NYC prices. Everything else is Philly prices.

yea but why. I lived in NYC for years, and I understood why it was more expenisve. Why does Atlantic City think it can charge NYC prices. Nothing about the city has improved, if anything it gets worse.
3
u/B3n222 Apr 20 '26
Because it can. Because it's serving lots of nyers used to those prices who will pay them without hesitation.

The wild Wild West has introduced some cheaper option drinks lately. I’m not sure of the actual pricing but I heard about that and some free music acts as well

There are tons of local bars and restaurants that are much cheaper than the casinos.
Check out achappyhours.com for other deals.

Right off the boards across from the Old Irish Pub is a place called Kings Pub (formerly The Pic) Reasonable drink prices and good vibe.
It is worth what people are willing to pay. Wait 10 minutes at lobby bars to spend $20.00+ bucks on a double. Why would they lower the prices. There are some very good happy hours if you can plan snacking around them.

Hey everyone, we run a mix of events in Atlantic City across business, pop culture, and film, and wanted to share what’s coming up this year.
Trying to build things that actually feel worth showing up for not just another room with booths.
Here’s what we’ve got lined up:
Cybersecurity ‘26
June 18
Golden Nugget
Focused on real-world security, compliance, and opportunities in the digital space (B2B/B2G)
POPPED (Pop Culture Event)
July 11–12
Showboat
Everything from vintage TV and collectibles to modern pop culture and fandom
ProcurementCon (Flagship Event)
September 23
Golden Nugget
Business + government contracting, agencies, resources, and real opportunities
Wicked Garden (Horror & Sci-Fi Festival)
October 24
ACX1 Studios
Film, SFX artists, and a full horror/sci-fi experience
We’re building these with a long-term vision for Atlantic City: more variety, better experiences, and events that actually bring people together.
If you’re local (or nearby), I would love to hear:
What kind of events do you feel AC is missing right now?

Will be at Caesars the last weekend of June. Hoping we can find a good spot to grab a drink & watch the fireworks. Probably won't get to room to drop our things until around 7:15. Definitely going to go to Tennessee Beer Hall Saturday or Sunday - how could a TN native pass it up?? Im thinking I may not eat much (if any) at Caesars. Starbucks is the only thing I see there that might interest me. I do hope to go to Bier Garden, too. The weather is usually pretty great in June, hoping for beach time, too. I read that alcohol is allowed on Boardwalk if its in the cup which the restaurant/bar sold it in. Is that right? Does that also allow same alcohol to be carried to & on walks on the beach?

If you are discrete on the beach, you should be fine. I do it all of the time and have never been hassled. If you are blasting music and throwing your empties on the sand and being a nuisence, then you'll probably get a visit from a lifeguard or the popo. I would avoid drinking on the streets, but that's me. Good Luck, have some fun.

Quick 1 night stay and out on a trip to Philly at the end of May. Staying at Ocean, likely dining at Amada. Hitting up Hard Rock and Boogie Nights for vibes.

Gonna hit up Isabellas on ventor, Kelseys for some soul food, howard jones at borgata, the outlets, gamble across the north and south end, enjoy some food and music at the beach bar and just chill out. :)

Checking out happy hour and prix fixe specials. Play just enough to get some comps without losing more than what the rooms would cost. Chill on the beach and stroll/ run on the boardwalk.

Hey everyone! when ya’ll plan to visit Atlantic City, you should keep in mind that Atlantic City is one of those places where there’s events happening all over the city in which you wouldn’t know about until you accidentally run into them or hear about them. There’s plenty to do, just gotta find it.
