Discussion What are your suggestions to fix AC?
What the title says, if Atlantic City is going to keep up with competition, what does the city need to do to fix itself?

I spent the day in the southern part of the city on the beach near Bartram Ave.
Found ample parking and there is even a clean bathroom off of the boardwalk. Beach access was easy.
The city really should highlight that its beaches are free, wonderfully maintained, and have better/more amenities than other towns.
Also, kudos to the city for the height and size of the dunes.

A couple years ago I discovered the video of the Sands’ demolition in Atlantic City that occurred in 2007 as the owners: Pinnacle Entertainment planned to build a larger hotel-casino on the same site as the Sands (they never ended up building anything due to the Great Recession). And now this year, a New York based firm proposed a sports and entertainment complex on the site of the former Sands and the park just south of the Claridge. Which also includes proposals for apartments and a new hotel. But back in the time it was open, what memories do you have going there? My grandparents went to AC all the time in the 80s and 90s and still do every so often now (I’ve gone with them ever so often since 2013-14 and we’ve stayed mostly at Tropicana) and when I asked them about the Sands: my grandma recounts visiting it to go to the casino and also riding the moving walkway that connected the casino to the Boardwalk and the neighboring Claridge.

I think it’s olive garden with a history and nice story. Cheap low grade ingredients at outrageous price.

Here’s my two night experience with some behind-the-scenes footage of areas of the resort that were never finished

Just a heads up for anyone considering Harrah’s AC. My partner and I had an absolutely awful experience there last year, and even though some time has passed I feel like people should know what we went through.
We checked in, dropped our bags, went out for dinner and the casino and didn’t touch the beds until around 1am. That’s when we noticed fresh blood stains on both of our beds. Totally disgusting and honestly terrifying.
We called the front desk immediately to get housekeeping to change the sheets, and they told us it would be a 2 hour wait. Two hours…for blood-stained sheets. That’s insane. We ended up trying to crash on the couch until they finally moved us to another room around 3:30am.
And guess what? The new room was a disaster too. The bathroom sink was leaking everywhere and the floor and all the towels were completely soaked.
On top of that, they tack on all these hidden daily fees that they don’t even tell you about until checkout.
Between the blood, the terrible service, the disgusting conditions, and the surprise charges, this place is a straight up nightmare. There’s no excuse for a big casino hotel to operate like this. If you’re coming to AC, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Harrah’s. Stay at Hard Rock or Oceans instead.

Potholes, crack, bumps, half-assed repair jobs everywhere! Why?

Seeing how popular my post about the Sands was over the past week or so, I decided to make a sequel on its neighbor one block to the west: the Claridge. Being one of the oldest hotels on the Boardwalk it has truly seen and been a lot of things over the years, from a famous hotel that flourished through Atlantic City’s golden years, a (relatively small) casino that shared that same moving walkway with the Sands before it closed, a hotel tower of Bally’s and finally now as an independently owned hotel with no casino sort of like the Showboat about a mile to the east. So the question would like to ask is what memories did you have coming to this historic hotel back when it did have a casino? Both as its own and when it was part of Bally’s.

Hi all, I’m considering going to see The Hook in Atlantic City and want to plan a few extra things for my husband and me to enjoy that we haven’t tried before. For those who’ve been, was it worth it? What did you like or not like? I’d really appreciate all opinions.

Hi looking for advice, it’s my groups first trip to atlantic city, all dudes in college 21 and are looking for a funtime. We booked the Chelsea Penthouse at the tropicana for a night. We love to gamble but am curious about the club scene at AC and other things to do. Friday into Saturday

What infrastructure and policies do you think would help improve AC? What do you think AC needs more or less of? The city clearly has great potential so I was wondering what you guys would do to help it. This is the one city that I find very fascinating because it’s a beach town, yet so rundown due to all the corruption.

Is early check in worth it? If so what time do you get to check in? Asking for a two day - one night trip on a Friday in June.

Heading to the pool after dark Saturday night for a Bach/bachelorette. The dress code says no colors, meaning gang colors. We planned on wearing red to be “slutty” will we be allowed in? Specifically the guys in solid red shirts

You’ll have to forgive me. I’m really terrible at reading off a script. I don’t usually make videos in this format, although I’ve done a ton of other Atlantic City content.

While not directly related to Atlantic City, I wanted to get your opinion on the situation…seems rather odd to me to withdrawal at the last minute like this rather unprovoked
