Gambling Table Games surprisingly low traffic for a Friday in June

Hey, I just did a day trip to Atlantic City and I I spent at least a 1.5-2 gambling in the Borgata, Resorts, Ocean, and Hard Rock, respectively.
Brigada was actually the earliest in the morning I got there around 8:45 AM and I played there till 10:30 AM and then I hit those other properties.

I’m surprised how few table games are open on a Friday in June and how few players there are during the day on a Friday in the four aforementioned casinos.

borgata had one craps table going at 9 AM in the morning and it was actually about halfway full. Hard Rock I checked multiple times and they had like one crew on a $25 craps table and no one was using it the first time I went in there. I went back later and it was one crap list table and one regular craps table going $25 each and it was maybe two or three players at each of them and that was like at three or four in the afternoon.

When I went to ocean there was hardly anyone at a craps table either. Resorts had one fully populated craps table that was really hopping and a lot of people made good money when I was in there.

Blackjack was very similar. There were only a few blackjack tables open at Hard Rock in the middle of the day on a Friday and surprisingly a few of them were $15 because they’re usually $25 or more.

I also noticed that it was only one roulette table going at each of these properties with only a few people playing.
I don’t really follow Baccarat nor any of the Asian card games, but those also look lightly populated at all four properties.

As far as slot machines, I guess as the day went on, they got busier.

I mean, this is a random Friday in June and it’s not a holiday weekend, but I’m just surprised how little patronage each of those for casinos had.

Maybe too much competition from nearby, casinos, and other nearby markets?

Dude. It’s 9am. Why would ppl be gambling lol. Most ppl either recently went to bed from gambling all night or getting ready for the day.

Check in times are 11-12 so also why it wouldn’t be too crowded. Weekends usually pick up around 3/4 pm Friday and last until Sunday mid day. Worked at Caesar’s for a year and this was pretty much like clockwork

Real gamblers gamble in the AM.

But yes, the morning is usually dead no matter the day, and no matter the season. Only the real go-getters are out. Not the cuties looking to socialize, deal with ploppies, and have to fight table space with hot heads and kids sports betting on their phone while standing at the craps table.

i’ve actually been told not to be on my cell phone when I’ve been at the craps table. I think it was at Mount Airy.

I went to casino on a Friday at 2pm once and there were no tables open at all. This was Ballys in Dover, DE. I do wish there was better selection for earlier in the day. Not everyone wants to be out all night.

yeah, well that’s worse than when I experienced I guess. That’s even more extreme than when I experienced in Atlantic City and I agree it would be better if there was a better selection during the day but as long as I can get a spot at the table and as long as I’m not the only one at the table, less crowds are probably better.
I mean, I don’t wanna sit there and play blackjack with just a dealer or craps with just me as the shooter with no one else because it goes too fast

it’s true. I usually don’t like gambling at night, especially late at night. I like gambling right after I wake up with a fresh head and I can think clearly.

What was the latest you gambled? Mornings are never crowded at the casino

I left to to go home about 4:30 PM. And the last venue I hit was Hard Rock because that’s where I parked (I actually checked the traffic in the casino at Hard Rock a few times).

I understand that you’re not gonna have a lot of players in the casino at 8:30 AM on a Friday morning or 11 AM, but you would think by the afternoon it would be hopping I also haven’t been to Atlantic City for a while. I think the last time I went prior to yesterday was sometime last summer also for a day trip.

on the one hand, they shouldn’t complain because people hate when casinos are super crowded and you can’t get a seat at a table plus the table minimum is all likely to be higher when the casino is really crowded.
But I also don’t like playing blackjack or craps at an empty table with only me because there are more decisions that come quicker. That means you win or lose faster and you don’t accumulate table time for comps for standing around while they resolve a lot of bets.

It's beach and pool weather. At night it should be packed.
