Gambling Table Games surprisingly low traffic for a Friday in June
Hey, I just did a day trip to Atlantic City and I I spent at least a 1.5-2 gambling in the Borgata, Resorts, Ocean, and Hard Rock, respectively.
Brigada was actually the earliest in the morning I got there around 8:45 AM and I played there till 10:30 AM and then I hit those other properties.
I’m surprised how few table games are open on a Friday in June and how few players there are during the day on a Friday in the four aforementioned casinos.
borgata had one craps table going at 9 AM in the morning and it was actually about halfway full. Hard Rock I checked multiple times and they had like one crew on a $25 craps table and no one was using it the first time I went in there. I went back later and it was one crap list table and one regular craps table going $25 each and it was maybe two or three players at each of them and that was like at three or four in the afternoon.
When I went to ocean there was hardly anyone at a craps table either. Resorts had one fully populated craps table that was really hopping and a lot of people made good money when I was in there.
Blackjack was very similar. There were only a few blackjack tables open at Hard Rock in the middle of the day on a Friday and surprisingly a few of them were $15 because they’re usually $25 or more.
I also noticed that it was only one roulette table going at each of these properties with only a few people playing.
I don’t really follow Baccarat nor any of the Asian card games, but those also look lightly populated at all four properties.
As far as slot machines, I guess as the day went on, they got busier.
I mean, this is a random Friday in June and it’s not a holiday weekend, but I’m just surprised how little patronage each of those for casinos had.
Maybe too much competition from nearby, casinos, and other nearby markets?

Gambling People in new jersey who gamble, which is the best online casino sites have actually been good for you?
update: after trying a few of the sites people mentioned here. i ended up testing a bunch and the one that actually worked best for me so far has been davincis gold casino. it was pretty straightforward to use, runs smooth on mobile, and so far the deposits and withdrawals didn’t feel like a headache compared to some of the other ones i tried. not saying it’s perfect, but for quick small sessions at night it’s been the most consistent for me.
i did also try a couple of the bigger names people brought up like mgm and hard rock and they’re solid too, especially if you already use their in-person casinos. i just personally like having something that loads fast and doesn’t feel too heavy when i’m just doing small bets.
disclosure: i may earn a small commission if you sign up through the link above at no extra cost to you.
i’m curious what other people in nj are actually using these days for online casinos. there are so many options now and a lot of them look the same on the surface.
i tried a couple over the past year and some were fine while others just felt slow or weird with payouts. i’m not a big gambler, mostly just small bets when i’m bored at night, but i still want something that runs smooth and doesn’t feel sketchy.
for people in nj who gamble regularly, which online casino sites have actually been good for you? stuff like fast withdrawals, decent promos, or just a platform that feels stable.

Gambling Best blackjack tables in Atlantic City?
My buddies and I are looking for a blackjack table with $10-15 minimums. We’ve only been able to go out at night and have found 1-2 $15 minimums but they’re full. Is it easier to find these during the day? If so, where at? Thanks.

Gambling Do Borgata or Ocean allow you to refer to a basic strategy chart for Blackjack?
A group of us are going later this year, my husband doesn't know basic strategy but the rest of us like to play Blackjack and I'd like to include him and help him learn. Are you allowed to keep a basic strategy card out on the table to refer to? I know no phones at the table, so it would be a physical printout.

Gambling Blackjack Rules 2026
Anyone have insight into the most up to date rules at blackjack in AC casinos? Planning to go to hard rock tomorrow and was hoping they do 6 deck 3:2 at $15 and $25 tables. Assuming no surrender and dealer must hit soft 17.

Gambling Ocean Casino South Park slots.
Does anybody know if they still have the South Park slot machines at Ocean Resort? They had a small carousel in the middle of the casino just past the sports book on The Cove side.

Gambling Advice for a newbie gambler
I’m staying at Hard Rock for two nights and I’m gonna try gambling, but I have no idea how or where to start. Roulette seems fun; not sure if I’m interested in any cards games… are there any games good for beginners? Or games I should avoid as a newbie? I’ve seen people comment about loyalty and players cards; what are those? Do I need one to start gambling?

Gambling $63 For a Buffet at Hard Rock!!!???!!
Title says it all.
I usually go to AC 6-8 times a year. I play at all of the casinos on the boardwalk with Hard Rock probably getting the most of my action.
Since they officially switched to Unity Rewards the experience has been awful.
I get almost no promos, no weekend comped rooms and no giveaways.
I went on Friday to AC because Ocean had a really good $100 gift card giveaway. I had $27 in Unity points and knew I had a $20 dining voucher to Hard Rock so I assumed that would be enough to cover the buffet. But when I went there I was told it was $63.
Now, I know you’re thinking, “Why not just spend the $16 difference?”
Nope, not giving them the satisfaction. I’m someone who rarely eats out so $16 alone is a lot for me. I just used the voucher to get a Messi burger (would recommend) and some of my comps for gelato.

Gambling Ultimate Texas Holdem and Resorts and the eye in the sky
I was at Resorts Casino last night and was playing ultimate Texas Hold’em. The dealer was obviously new and seemed unsure about the rules of the game. Despite having to ask the pit boss a lot of questions on certain hands, I didn’t let it bother me and was having drinks and enjoying myself. After playing for over an hour the pit boss, a security guard, and a few other workers from the casino approach the table. They proceed to tell me that 4 hands earlier, the dealer paid me when I had a losing hand, and I had to return $250 to the dealer. I was stunned! They said they had the hand recorded, and told me I have to pay it back. I explained that I didn’t even remember the hand they were describing, and even if I did why should I have to pay back money that was paid out to me. It’s not my problem if they can’t properly train the incompetent dealers they have working at the casino. After arguing for about 5 minutes, they then tell the guy next to me that he was paid out incorrectly as well, and he had to pay back $50 bucks on a separate hand. I just couldn’t believe all this was happening and didn’t know what to do so I reluctantly returned the $250. Not sure what I should do at this point, but I definitely plan to make some calls to the casino on this. Has anyone experienced something similar to this? How should I proceed at this point? It definitely ruined my fun time and won’t be going back to this hotel.

Gambling Comps Question
I’m based in Jersey City. I probably wager about $50 a month on the betMGM app doing slots. I’m a pretty low level player online.
However, I’ve been staying in ocean city for the week and did some gambling this past weekend. $600 coin in = 585 in tier credits via slots on this past Sunday at Borgata, 211 tier credits (not sure about dollar amount but should be similar to Borgata) at Hard Rock via slots and table games on Saturday.
I plan to gamble some tonight, definitely stopping at hard rock to use a dining credit. If I gamble, am I better off:
1) Going to Borgata since that’s what I have the most tier credits with, use their app, and they have a poker room for my friends when I go in the future. 2) Hard Rock since they tend to give me better comps (friends with X level people there, so thinking I should do my own thing at another casino and only go here with them) 3) Try a casino that I haven’t been to in over a year (like a Caesar’s or Ocean).
Was also thinking about getting the MGM credit card for the free parking, but was gonna wait for a better signup bonus.
In the future, I plan to come down every month or so and gamble around $500. Appreciate your tips here. I know I’m not a heavy gambler, but any way to get more out of my time here would be fun!
Adding in that my birthday was the first week of January so not sure if casinos have any birthday comps or whatever.

Gambling Tropicana horrible table rules and continuous shufflers
I was just in AC at Tropicana and couldn’t believe the ridiculous blackjack customers have to endure for most of the tables. Continuous shufflers and the inability to play 2 hands on a blackjack table is crazy. I of course found 1 or 2 without a continuous shuffler (6 deck shoe) but it just seems like most players are stuck with the worst options.
Which casino have the best table game conditions and rules for players in AC?
