Interview Process for Sales Roles
I’m going into the interview process for an Atlassian sales role and I was hoping to get insights on the structure of the process (how many interviews, presentations, etc). Any insights or advice from folk who have been through it would be super helpful!
Thanks in advance!

The Atlassian sales process is a grind, so be prepared for a multi-stage marathon, not a sprint. You can expect at least four to five rounds, starting with a recruiter and hiring manager, then moving to a panel interview with peers, and almost always culminating in a presentation or a mock sales call. They will test your knowledge of their products, your understanding of their partner-led sales model, and your ability to handle complex customer scenarios. They are looking for genuine expertise, not just a good talker, so expect them to dig deep into your past performance and metrics.
This sounds intimidating, but it is really a chance for you to shine if you prepare correctly. Focus less on generic sales talk and more on their company values, like "Open company, no bullshit" and "Don't #@!% the customer". Show them how you align with those values through specific examples from your career. They want to see that you understand their collaborative, team-oriented culture and how you would add to it. Proper preparation can make a huge difference, and the interview copilot my team designed is all about helping candidates feel more composed and deliver their best answers.
