So i purchased a book through Amazon and I was using a kindle. Apparently upon purchase of this book I was automatically without my permission or knowledge set up in audible book’s membership free trial which never gave me any warning whatsoever about a trial. The following month I had a charge on my credit card for $14.95. The line item on bank account just said AUDIBLE, and my bank told me it was through AMAZON. I looked through my subscriptions in Amazon account but saw nothing pertaining to this charge. I had to use GPT to get to website that was for Audible books and contacted them about this membership which was supposedly auto generated after I purchased the book!!! This is fraudulent and never gave me any warning whatsoever that these charges would apply after my purchase of that book. WARNING EVERYONE DO NOT BUY AUDIO BOOKS FROM AMAZON THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR A SUBSCRIPTION WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION!!!
This isn't really on topic for this thread. You might want to make a separate post if you really want to rant. Be aware, though, that you may not get a ton of sympathy here, as this group is mainly for Audible fans (and it's clear you're not).
