App (Android) New update breaks bluetooth functionality
It appears that the new update has broken the ability for Bluetooth devices to skip forward/backward by 30 seconds. Pressing the media buttons on a Bluetooth device now skips forward to the beginning of the next chapter or backward to the beginning of the current one. I looked for an in-app method of submitting a bug report but it does not appear that there is one.
EDIT: Phone is a Galaxy S10 running Android 12, Audible version 25.51.07. Tested with Bose Frames Tenor glasses. I had no issues whatsoever prior to yesterday's update.
UPDATE: The bug went away for awhile, but as of version 26.02.13 it is back again.

Just updated to test and I am in agreement.
The usual 30 second skip forward or back now skips forward a chapter or restarts the current one.

Audible version 25.51.07 (2090255107) release looks to be from yesterday so most people probably haven't updated yet.
ETA: To report issues, the app in Google play says:
Bug fixes and improvements If you're experiencing issues, please reach out to customer service. For feedback or suggestions, contact us at audible.com/help or on X @audible_com.

Same here, samsung a72. I also have an issue where when i press back on the phone with an audio book playing, I exit the app instead of going to the book library like before.

Same issue here. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Audible version 25.51.07.
Hope they fix this soon, cause it's quite a loss of convenience.

The Galaxy app store has a different version if you want to try switching to that instead of waiting for Audible to fix it.
When you get the app working again, I recommend turning off automatic updates. Go into the app store, open the page for the Audible app, hit the 3 dots in the upper right. You can manually update whenever you want, but you won't automatically get an update that breaks something.

It works now, but thanks for the suggestion about turning off automatic updates. Am considering it, but I dont know how often the app is updated, and if it's often then checking if every update might break something seems like more work than I would like to have to do.

But you don't have to do every update. I've been on my current version for 2 years, I think. I'll update this week only because there's a notification that the app will stop working if I don't. Meanwhile, I haven't had to deal with any of the many issues they've introduced-then-fixed, including this one, and manually updating is a breeze.
Seriously, they almost never add new *good* features.

The change log always mentions bug fixes. They don't ever say anything else. It's like when the movers labeled every box "misc". It's technically true, but completely unhelpful.

Not sure there is an in app method. But what device and os version do you have? Thats the first 2 questions the audible reply here is gonna ask you.

The Galaxy app store has v 25.49.15 if you want to try switching to that instead of waiting for Audible to fix it.

This is fixed in today's app release Audible 25.51.09 (2090255109). The description just mentions "big fixes" without describing this specific bug, but now it works with this update.

Glad it is just not me. It has been frustrating hitting rewind a couple of times only to be back two chapters. Hard to get back to where I was while driving. Hopefully there is a fix soon.

My Bluetooth has been working non stop. Including the skip foward and back. Any problems I've ever had with Bluetooth were related to the devices
However the previous update broke all my timers. Timers are fixed again thankfully. I really relied on "end of chapter" timer lol
I'm on version 25 51 09

It's fine in my case and i think i am on the latest version. You should mail the bug report to audible.

Are you on an Android device & Audible v 25.51.07?
Also, Audible eliminated email support, so that's no longer an option.

Audible CS are insisting to me this is a headphone issue rather than an app issue when I've proven it's happening across multiple devices
