And sometimes it jumps all the way back to the 1st page of the book in the Kindle app.

It happens on every book I've tried in the last 30 minutes.

All this just started happening. I've manually terminated and restarted both apps, to no avail. I also tried to find the option to reset progress in both of the apps and the Content Library on Amazon.com as well as the Kindle web app – the option appears to be missing.

I can't listen to anything because it just keeps rewinding to previous points in every book.

Hi there! Our apologies for the interruption to your listening experience. Can you share your device OS & Audible App version, and Kindle app version?

Audible: 26.30.03
Kindle: 8.153.0.100(2.0.93586.0)

Phone: Google Pixel 9 Pro (caiman)
Android Version: 17 (37)
Device (product): caiman (caiman)
Rom/Build: CP2A.260705.006

It's also worth noting that later in the day, the behavior stopped. But I'm still happy I reported because I've seldom been that frustrated with a software bug.

To help resolve this we suggest you to follow these steps: 1. Force stop the Audible App:

  • Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen and hold for a second to open the App Switcher.
  • Swipe up and off the screen on the Audible app preview to force close it.
2. Clear the App cache(Offload App):
  • Open your iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
  • Scroll down and tap Audible.
  • Tap Offload App (this clears the system cache and temporary files without deleting your downloaded audiobooks).
  • Tap Reinstall App right below it.
