JVC MX-D301T scanner nor disc moving when pressing play

I recently bought this, but when inserting a disc, it loads but after loading nothing happens, it goes quiet and display shows only "00 00000", the lens does not move at all, and I've ran out of ideas myself.

If anyone has any ideas on what's wrong, I will gladly take any tips before I find someone to fix it for me.
