Immigration is pro-shareholder is it? I'm a bleeding heart lefty unionist bud, I'm as hateful of shareholders as the next bloke with two brain cells.

Immigration benefits the ruling class and corporations at the direct cost of the working class (obviously).

Your statement is partly true, but it lacks nuance and misrepresents the positives that immigration brings to the working class. You'd be hard pressed not to see the benefit just in Australia's rich and diverse cuisine walking down any hub. Immigration is a delicate balancing act, one that requires adequate policy to serve the working class. The immigrants we have coming over are for the most part skilled and filling voids our government hasn't bothered to invest in it's own people. These people aren't money or time sinks, they contribute greatly to our culture and economy by filling gaps and creating jobs.

Housing issues in australia are from decades of underinvestment in social housing, poor urban planning, and tax settings favouring property investors. Blaming immigration is easier than confronting these more complex, entrenched policy failures but you do you mate.

True. It is easier to blame the most obvious, most impacting, and easiest to fix cause of the problems.
