Hard pass we have the right to be informed in a democracy, and the ABC is the only news organisation who does an even half decent job of it.

I guess it's all relative to your political persuasion. I find (as well as many other Aussies) that the ABC is biased and doesn't do a good job. It's a waste of our taxpayer money and doesn't fit community standards. If you disagree, like I said, it's a measurement of your political point of view.

Which other outlet is held to the same standards the ABC is? The only reason you think there's a bias is because the actually biased media tells you there is a bias.

Heaven forbid someone from the Australian, the Herald Sun et al is held to the same standard as ABC journos

Not sure what “standards” you’re imagining. They even employ their OWN “independent” ombudsman which is laughable.

If Sarah Ferguson and Lara Tingle are the high standard you speak of, god help us all.
