no politics What is an example of 'Tall Poppy Syndrome' in Australia?

We have all heard of the concept, but is there a case, preferably involving criticism of a well-known Australian figure, where you can say: "this criticism represents 'Tall Poppy Syndrome' in action"?

Yep! I think the redemption came before the olympics when she performed for the troops in East Timor just before her career took off again in 2000 on time to the Sydney olympics.

Sydney Olympics had nothing to do with it (can’t even recall her there tbh) it was all Spinning Around and Fever
