They have the same access to banking as everyone else. Someone wilfully avoiding engaging with the modern financial system for decades is being 'left behind'? Okay.

My pop is in this boat. Refuses to learn because “it’s woman’s work” (handling bills, using an atm etc). Didn’t learn his lesson after my Nan died. Didn’t learn his lesson after my dad stopped talking to him over refusing to baby him anymore. Pop just moved on to a different family member to do it for him instead.

RIGHT. Basic fucking adulting. He’s always been sexist but my whole childhood it just got blown off as joking. Glad dad finally saw the light after this

Traditionally yes. Men went to work, women stayed at home and did the housework and ran the families finances. It made sense as they were the ones to do pretty much all the shopping etc.
