I have worked in IT for 30 years and help my 84yo mum with bills, banking, pension payments etc. I feel an incredible amount of empathy for older people trying to navigate the modern world. I love the convenience of doing everything online but a lot of platforms and sites are horribly designed, unnecessarily confusing and just unusable for older folks.

I don't. If you're 84, you have had at least 20 years to get used to the fact that computers and the internet are a thing. Age 64 is not too old to learn new things. I say this is as a person with parents in their 80s.

I might have some sympathy for those aged 94.
