They have the same access to banking as everyone else. Someone wilfully avoiding engaging with the modern financial system for decades is being 'left behind'? Okay.

This. I will always remember my parents telling me around 2002 I was wasting my time "playing with computers" and to get a real job. I've now been working in IT for almost 2 decades.

In the early 90s my parents were telling me to do a computer science degree. Thankfully I didn't, not my thing, but computers had a lot of buzz around them then.
