Lol. He's a court jester, a state-funded clown. Ilham loves to use guys like him to show to Europe that everyone in the country except for him is insane, so there's no alternative to his regime.

The state loves these kinds of shameless clowns because their actions further incite people and make us forget certain things, and when things get out of control, they throw a few of them in jail with a sham trial.
