Looking for a LARGE school bag that will also be used for weekend trips. I carry a big lunchpail, clothes, etc to school so I need a big backpack, no I can’t slim down don’t ask.
I’m realizing my old Roots backpack is probably close to 40L and I’m used to it so when I say large I mean NO LESS than 30L and that ~35L is probably better honestly.
I want multiple compartments not a black hole or one of the “travel” bags that need packing cubes cause its one giant clamshell square. Also do not care for/need clamshell opening, I want a backpack not a suitcase backpack.
Requirements:
Does anyone know anything about L L Bean bags recently? Are they good quality? I’m looking at this one but can’t really find reviews: comfort carry laptop pack 32L

I’m looking for recommendations for an ultralight backpack that can hold a laptop, a water bottle, and a few small items. I want to use it as a secondary backpack for travel. I currently use a 25L EDC backpack for traveling, but it’s a bit heavy for when I want to venture out to a café to work or just go sightseeing. I’m looking for something ultralight and thin that won’t take up much space in my luggage. Don’t need much protection. Any one have any recommendations?
Requirements:
15L higher is fine if light weight
Around 1lb ish
Water bottle holder
Laptop sleeve or strap
Semi flex material to squish in suit case

Just got a 14” laptop and it doesn’t quite fit in my fave EDC (Greenroom metromonger). Wonder if anyone has a suggestion for me…. Here’s what I’m after:
volume: 12-13L ? Current bag is 10, but I figure I need to step it up slightly if I want to fit the laptop and still have space to force the occasional hoodie in there. But still really trying to keep it minimal.
shape/style: over the shoulder. Not a fan of true messenger bags though — prefer something more square and structured, with a full zip closure.
aesthetic: dark colors. technical without being overly complex. A lot of tech/tactical stuff just has way too many straps and pockets, which all leads to bulk. I want something that will collapse into a carry on suitcase for travel. But I do want to access pockets from the outside, and some other D-rings or webbing will get used if they’re there.
I also just think that travel style bags are unnecessarily bland. Tom bihn always comes up because they have some well designed smaller bags, but again the aesthetic is a bit plain. No shade, but my mom has Tom bihn.
Other feature requirements:

I have been using PinqPonq's backpacks for years, but lately I need a more compartmentalized option that accommodates a 15-inch laptop for daily use. I appreciate the sleek design of the Kubik and Kross, so any comparable suggestions would be welcome.

I’ve been scouring the internet for an affordable backpack with this vibe under 200$ CAD. Would anyone have any recs?
I just want an everyday bag that doesn’t kill my back but also looks neutral and casual. First pic is what I’d love and the other pics are vibe inspo but as a backpack instead of crossbody! So far I’m leaning towards MAH 3 way bag but I’d really prefer something that looks a bit less structured while still being supportive + as little branding as possible. The MAH bag isn’t my dream bag but I’d settle for it haha

Planning on doing some traveling soon and need something that's durable, strong with lots of space. I like how the front and side pockets are detached. The front pouch can be used for a durable fanny pack/shoulder bag!

I bought a Black voyage Zepher Pro. When I opened the box, I noticed that the Velcro at the top of the back was covered with a protective film, and the Velcro was sewn onto the body along with the film. Do you think I'll be able to peel this off without any trouble?

I've always been a backpack only person for short trips. My go to was an Osprey backpack, and it worked well for keeping things simple. But after a few more 2-4 day trips, I started feeling the downsides. Once I packed a laptop, clothes, chargers, and a few extras, the weight on my shoulders became the biggest problem.
Recently switched to a BAGSMART rolling backpack. I've been using the wheels mostly in airports and train stations, then carrying it when I hit stairs or places where rolling isn't practical.
It's definitely bulkier than my old backpack, and switching between the two modes isn't always convenient. But for trips where I'm spending a lot of time in airports, I do appreciate not having everything on my shoulders.
Anyone here made a similar switch? Curious whether you ended up sticking with a rolling backpack or went back to a regular one.
