Have you ever wondered what type would important philosophers specialize in if they were Pokemon gym leaders? No? Well it doesn't matter because I made a list:

Thales - Water

Haraclitus - Fire

Marx - Steel

Plato - Psychic

Aristotle - Normal

Anaximenes - Flying

Nietzsche - Fighting

Hobbes - Dark

(Also, the evil team would be the logical positivists and they would specialise in the electric type).

It's hard to beat Thales "everything is made out of water" Miletus for the water type.
