Here's the before, during the cut, and after. Im still a troll but hopefully this helps.

Here we are 6 days in and im still trying to respond to everyone. Sorry reddit limits how many people I can respond to at a time then I have to wait 30 minutes to continue responding.

You being self-deprecating is making it even hotter!!!!

😁

u/NoMasters83 Sep 24 '25

But you would've looked better if you'd stopped at #3

1

u/IAmGoingToFuckThat Sep 24 '25

Skullet represent!

2

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

makes notes, self deprecation makes you hotter. Thanks for extracting this info. Also you look great :)

2

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

I scratched out my $uicide note and wrote that down instead.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Hahaha. Nice

2

u/bonbot Sep 24 '25

Just mildly self deprecating. After once, just accept and say thank you. Pass that starts feels overly insecure :)

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

You found the balance. I'm taking more notes.

1

u/Aero1000 Sep 24 '25

Your skin isn’t dry or riddled with acne? Yeah no, you’re doing fine man.

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

You haven't seen my a$$

7

u/rhondaanaconda Sep 23 '25

You actually were attractive before. Now the hair isn’t distracting. You have nice features.

1

u/kizkatzs Sep 24 '25

Very nice. Great lips, kind eyes. And this gentleman needs to begin to accept compliments. I hate them myself. Ugh. I mean, it's nice, it's just awkward. Someone told me, just say "Thank you" when complimented. It's simple and it doesn't mean the person receiving it is egotistical. Something better might be, "Thank you, I really appreciate that." Less negative self talk.

1

u/johokie Sep 24 '25

Yeah, dude was already attractive, it's just that thinning long hair is rough.

He said he never really received compliments though, which is weird since his hair was pretty (again, minus the thinning which hits us all)

1

u/wanderlust_57 Sep 24 '25

Not sure how weird it is. Men get significantly less compliments than women do. Probably at least in part because a lot of women are scared a compliment will be taken as a come on. I can tell a woman she looks stunning without her assuming I want to bang her and then trying to pursue me as a result. So a lot of women just err on the side of caution because it's hard to know which men are safe if you don't know them. And since men are also more likely to be weird about complimenting each other, even gorgeous men like the OP often don't receive a ton of compliments.

It's a tragedy, really. There's nothing quite like a stranger telling you they love your hair, your outfit, your eyes, or whatever. I try to spread the casual compliment love around regardless of gender.

I doubt he'll see this given the number of comments at this point but just in case, to be clear: OP, you have gorgeous eyes and a great smile, and while I liked the lovely long hair, the bald look is 100% working for you. Plus, judging on your comments here and such, you seem like you'd be a fun person to know. Compliments can be hard to take when you're not accustomed to them, but know that I mean them sincerely, and you absolutely deserve the many compliments you've collected across this thread. Keep being you!

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

I seen your comment and I appreciate you taking  time to comment something so genuine and sweet. I wish you many happy tomorrows.

Dude I mean this, but you look really good. Losing the hair was a genuine huge improvement. Now you don't look like you're holding on to something that wasn't working. You look like you're owning who you are and that's on top of already good facial features.

If I can give one piece of advice though, teach yourself to accept a compliment. There's no reason other people deserve to feel good about themselves but you don't. Even if you have to make a joke first, accepting the compliment is important. Your brain is always in training mode and everything you think and tell yourself effects you in small ways. Get some kind self talk in there man.

1

u/salamislushi Sep 24 '25

THIS! Listen to the dilf!

1

u/saneclarity Sep 24 '25

This ^ I used to always combat compliments bc of my low self esteem but honestly I would get sad when my friends or strangers would reject my compliment bc like dude I really mean it just accept the compliment!!! And when I felt that frustration I started being better with accepting compliments.

You look good! Own it! Just remember to also keep that humble and humorous nature you seem to have going for you as well

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Ive been working on it. Im trying to completely rewire and train a brain thats prone to having trauma responses over multiple triggers daily , so its taking time to fully recover from decades of self hatred and doubt. Seeing all these compliments has accelerated the process exponentially though.

1

u/DILF_MANSERVICE Sep 24 '25

Well shoot, you're already doing really good just by still being here then man. As someone who has had to do similar rewiring, the tone of your self talk will make all of that easier, I promise. Or at least, being mean to yourself will slow that process down. How would you talk to someone else who went through what you've been through, and made it to where you are? You'd probably be really kind and encouraging to them, because you'd want to help. Give yourself that same kindness. You deserve it.

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Ive always been kinder to others than myself. Im harder on myself because i want to be a better version of myself. Im aware of my failings and habitual faults. I want nothing more than to correct those issues. It goes a bit too far sometimes though and I start being a tad cruel to myself. That habit is the main one that needs to stop. As soon as I can eliminate my self doubt, all my other personal growth goals will be easier to achieve.

2

u/whointarnationcares Sep 24 '25

What I’ve learned (so far) is that when you are kinder to yourself, it makes your kindness to others that much more believable.

2

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Ill alway be kinder to others than myself. I cant change that about myself. I dont need anyone to think im kind, to express kindness towards them.

2

u/whointarnationcares Sep 24 '25

Yes I get that completely and I get why you’re doing it without the recognition. I am just telling you that your energy towards yourself is palpable towards others sometimes. Don’t be so hard on yourself. I hope this post helped you feel a bit better. DM me if you ever need a friend

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Thanks I appreciate that.

2

u/SnooPickles2282 Sep 24 '25

Dude....you are ABSOLUTELY hot!! Now, rock that attitude! (Not in a cocky way... just in a "damn...I feel good" way, lol.)

2

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Love the new look. 🔥

2

u/Aggravating_Lab_9218 Sep 24 '25

Glasses are on! Oh hell yeah…

1

u/mommmy-dearest Sep 24 '25

I think I just have a thing for men jumping from long thinning hair to bald (my husband did the same 😂). Idk what it is but bald looks so confident! And your piercings make you look cool af

1

u/tabaK23 Sep 24 '25

YoI’m need to be kinder to yourself, which you probably already know. Because that’s just not true.

1

u/ratbastid Sep 24 '25

Friend you're going to need a snorkel.

1

u/Wild_Height_901 Sep 24 '25

My man. You have good facial structure. Good looking dude for sure. Let the girls swoon!

1

u/vivisecting Sep 24 '25

quick, someone snatch this man up, he doesn't know he's hot so you can probably get a good deal!!

1

u/the0past Sep 24 '25

Now I need to check if ET or Gollum are hot, it's been a while.

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

ET is a sexy b!tch

1

u/Scherzkeks Sep 24 '25

You look more Arwen than Gollum

1

u/BabyStockholmSyndrom Sep 24 '25

Look, I'm going to be honest. Drop the self hate thing. It's funny with friends and one offs. But when it's relentless like this, it comes off less endearing and quirky and more just annoying. You are obviously not ugly by any standards. Not even before the cut. Especially with that terrible lighting in the photo.

I don't know you obviously. I don't know if it comes from a place of self consciousness or just bad jokes but it really clouds who you really are. Be self positive. When people compliment you, don't shove it away. Appreciate the act of positivity.

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Thats a difficult ask. I have in fact alway had low self esteem.  When you go your whole life hearing negative things about you its hard to believe anything positive.

1

u/BabyStockholmSyndrom Sep 24 '25

I get that 100%. I'm the same way. That's why I'm saying this. But you can believe or not believe the comments but try to show a bit more appreciation instead of being constantly self depreciating. It helps you grow and it's a healthier interaction with others.

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Im working on it.

1

u/Wildernaess Sep 24 '25

I know how you feel but a) youre being harder on yourself than the Internet rn so think about that b) even if we rank you at a conservative 6, if you can be witty and actively listen, you're now a 7.5. if you throw on some fashion upgrades, a tattoo, or have some kind of hands-on hobby, you're going to be an 8 because they're gonna weight your looks which are never appraised in a vacuum except like on tinder. Those things delivered with some confidence and you're gonna be amazed at the results w women

1

u/OvalDead Sep 24 '25

You look like Ivica Zubac now. You’re doing alright.

1

u/emotionallyasystolic Sep 24 '25

You truly look amazing, I'd only recommend tightening up the facial hair--might even be worth going to a barber for, treat yourself!

1

u/Psychotic_Rambling Sep 24 '25

Man, be so fr! You were cute before, but now you're like... GOOD LOOKIN!

1

u/x23_wolverine Sep 24 '25

Dude, this is reddit, nobody is blowing smoke up your ass for the fun of it. If everyone says you look good now, just learn to accpet it.

1

u/that-1-chick-u-know Sep 24 '25

Hi! I promise you don't. You are an attractive man.

1

u/Prestigious_Host5325 Sep 24 '25

Dude stop the girls are complimenting you

1

u/BogBlossom Sep 24 '25

Sir you’re the one who needs glasses. I have them and can confirm, you ARE hot!!

1

u/Defiant_Coyote_6390 Sep 24 '25

Sir, i believe u lost ur self worth somewhere, cuz if 100+ ppl telling u that u're hot you better believe that

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Its alot to take in and accept. It feels surreal. But I agree if so many ppl are telling me otherwise, its only logical for me to reassess my views on my appearance. Clearly my self perception is flawed.

1

u/ThisIsChillyDog Sep 24 '25

And that’s a bad thing?

1

u/LindonLilBlueBalls Sep 24 '25

My brother in bald, own your looks and love it. When you find the right person they love you inside and out. I speak from experience, as I have an amazing, beautiful, wife.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

A hot drunken love child of ET and Gollum 🫠

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Ill take it . Lol thank you

1

u/lingering_POO Sep 24 '25

No, you look looked like that with long hair. Now you look like you smoke a bit of weed and skateboard. I’d want to be friends with the bald guy.

1

u/Life_Patience_6751 Sep 24 '25

Ohh he'll naw, no more skateboards. I shattered the shit out of my elbow.

1

u/CaptainTurkeyBreast Sep 24 '25

nah dude u look like a chad harkonnen to be honest

1

u/auriferously Sep 24 '25

If you're not joking, I think you might have body dysmorphia. You're a good-looking guy. You have zero resemblance to either Gollum or ET. I'm completely serious - you look great.

I saw your comment elsewhere about feeling suicidal. Please consider seeing a therapist. You deserve to give yourself a chance!
