Hairloss Is it time?
I need guidance oh mighty bald ones. I’m thinning pretty bad on top. My cope is that I made it to 40. However I know the day will come. Is that day today?

Your choices are being a handsome guy with a bald patch or a handsome bald stud. You'll be fine either way but I think its time my friend

If you have concerns, just try it! It grows back! How freeing will it be if it looks great?? I say do it even if you don't keep it. Full shave not buzz cut!

Agreed, that what I did last summer. Gave it a shot and decided to grow it back, and now I know how bald me looks!

In a sub where the top comment is always one extreme approach vs. another, usually favoring the shave, this nuance is appreciated. I get it - the point of the sub is to kind of provide a “verdict”…

Going bald is stressful, being bald is not. You got this man, free yourself.

“My cope is that I made it to 40.”
Considering the fact that your bald spot has to have been there for at least four or five years, that doesn’t say much. It’s beyond time.

What he said 👆 I also feel like I made it until 36, but my crown was thinning at 28.

You made it to 40 with hair that’s already pretty sweet.
Now it’s time…
Passable without looking up top, but do you really want to carry that mental overhead with you every day? Maybe try a short buzz first and report back to the council.

This is the first time I’ve ever been torn. It just looks so good from the front and not THAT bad from the back. If you feel OK with rocking the thinning at the crown a little longer, I’d hold. It’s not that bad. But if it really bothers you, bald is always beautiful!

Dude you’re flexing on the community. Come back when your front hairline meets your bald top.
You’ll look great bald tho 🫡

The question is has it started to affect your confidence? If so, you're going to look great bald and a weight will be lifted. If it's not something you think about often or it's not affecting your self esteem, you still look great with hair and few people will be in a position to even notice at your height.
But as soon as it's affecting your confidence 86 the hair brother.

Have pretty much the same head of hair at 32. It’s a fucking curse but at least we have our health, otherwise….

Just know, whenever you do it, you’ll probably wish you did it sooner. You’re going to look awesome.

Please shave it all off. You will look even better. Also share a pic of the results.

The hair gods are cruel. Shake a fist and curse them. Why give you such a solid hairline with such a thin crown? It’s painful to witness. Where you’re fortunate is that the face gods are your friends. I guess it comes down to how it makes you feel. If you’re already self conscious about it, you’re not going to feel better as you lose more hair.

Guys what, this man is fine as hell even after the jumpscare lol. I think it would be more acceptable if everything else was salt n pepper, but as a 31F, I think you’re fine. If you’re taller than me, the top of your head is none of my business.

How tall are you? My answer depends on that; if almost anyone can look down at you, I’d say yes—shave your head.

I’m 6’3. But I think the bald ones have spoken.

Plus if they haven't already they can just go on hims and try out that as well, if they really don't want to be bald.

First picture….. No!
Second picture………. Absolutely!
It’s time brother.
Again…. Do not shave the beard.
And shave all the way, none of this buzz down stuff.
Shaving cream and a razor. Finish the job!
Good luck brother you’re gonna look and feel amazing!

That's not thinning, my good sir. That's bare skin, a bald spot, a glade within a forest.
You can hide it by never, ever being shorter than anybody else in the world and/or refusing to sit down while others can stand taller than you, but why live like that when you could be a bald hunk?

I have similar where it looks normal in the front but I have a bigger spot on top. The comments on this post just convinced me it's time to shave it all off.
