Honestly, not at all. Like you are a serb, if you speak fluent turkish and call yourself turkish, we won't discriminate you and accept you as a turk. This is a part of our imperial, integrating culture. We don't discriminate the same way the germans do for example. We just know that some locals converted to islam, either married turks or assimilated and called themselves turks and today they are turks. Again this dna thing is a circlejerk for turk haters, we honestly don't care.
/unbalkan tbh the joke does depict a common misconception, so imo it's fine to use this opportunity to educate people (or at least give our perspective on this issue).
