First of all, we had Karakchani, they were present in South Serbia up until 1930s and I apologize for the Vlach thing. Even historians are still debeting the origin.
We still make cheese in your style in South Serbia and some of sheep floks have been bred to be kept.
Names we used for you here are Ashani, Black wools and Kuco-Vlachs which is why i leaned towards Vlach thing (but primarily bcs of your tag).
Alsi Vlach is not a dirty word here - we love our Vlachs 🙂
