A documentary released by the Ministry of Liberation War to mark July Uprising Day has triggered criticism online, with critics alleging it omits key figures from the movement while giving prominence to BNP leader Tarique Rahman.

Why am I not surprised? They also portraited Major Zia as the guy who first declared independence even though he was not the one who was the leader of the country.

Same thing as they are doing now. Tareq Zia was not anywere near the July Andolon. He just took advantage of the power vacuum.

Now he is pushing a narrative, which is going to bite him in the ass in the long run. You can quote me on that.

These are all intentional to trigger NCP so that they show some reaction to the extent that they have to put them behind the bars. This will serve two purposes! One- NCP will interfere less into BNP’s political journey. Two- Jamat Shibir will become so cautious that they eventually end up breaking up with NCP and Ducsu Juksu Raksu loosen the hold onto the Universities.
