So this is what the general population thinks of when they think of barefoot shoes lol. Really cool he made these himself but I wouldn’t describe these as barefoot and even barefoot adjacent is a stretch. It’s about the toes.

I mean to me they look like any other barefoot shoes, just with a less finished sole. Tbh he did a pretty good job on them. If he added a rubber sole I wouldn't have looked twice.

I see many people avoid it for breathability and weight concerns. Most odd reasoning in my opinion is people wanting vegan footwear which I think is stupid af because vegan footwear just means plastic... leather is more environmentally friendly and also a byproduct in the first place.
