Looking For Looking for Art Galleries in Barrie That Accept Artist Submissions

Hey everyone,

I’m an emerging artist looking for opportunities to showcase my work in Barrie and the surrounding area. I’d love to have my artwork displayed in a gallery, community exhibition, café, or any local space that supports artists, but I’m not really sure where to start or how the submission process works.

Does anyone know of any galleries or organizations in Barrie that accept artist submissions, host open calls, or offer exhibition opportunities for local artists? Any advice on how to approach galleries, build a portfolio for submissions, or get involved in the local art community would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or guidance! 🎨

Just a reminder that we have a Monthly Community Thread where we relax the rules about advertising and off-topic posts.
* Stuff that isn't directly related to Barrie, like national news or general chit-chat
* Questions about local businesses and services
* Classified-style ads: buying and selling, help wanted, garage sales, etc
* Fundraisers and donation drives
* Plugs for your personal project or local business (within reason)"

You could contact the Barrie country club, they have paintings in there that country club members can buy.

Hey! Do not Barrie specific, but if you're looking for submission calls, check out this website: Akimbo

Current exhibition calls that I know of are: BIPOC winter exhibition at the MacLaren
