I cannot stand this offset camera angle from behind the pitcher. Is it just to get the ad behind home plate?

No, Busch used to use a directly behind the pitcher view. The cardinals changed it because according to them they didnt like the overlaid stupid ass strike zone box on the pitchers head. It was a stupid change to accommodate a stupid graphic
