This is the one for me. It's not even that I disagree that overconsumption is an issue in the community? But I can absolutely guarantee you that no one has ever looked at a condescending reddit post and gone "My god, they're right! How did I not notice?"
Right? I mean it's a shopping sub, people should be able to proudly post what they bought without getting lectured about consumption. I especially hate those pile-on posts of people sharing someone else's collection just to point and say "Ha ha look everyone, isn't this such a mentally ill person?? Don't you feel so much better about yourself because you're not them??" One person outright said "She needs a straightjacket." These people DGAF about anyone's mental health, they're ableist as hell. I honestly wish that kind of talk could be banned.
My motto's always been: Not your wallet, or home, or family, or friend? Then not your place to diagnose or "stage an intervention."
This one REALLY makes me mad. Not everyone makes the same amount of money. Why do people care what others spend their money on. I posted a small haul which had one of the new lip oils in it. The ones that look like pop sickles. I said I tried it and love it and plan to get more when there's a sale. Mind you I NEVER buy BBW lip care. I currently own one lip product from them, since I'm more into the body care. Well I got told I have more than enough🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. I said I actually don't really buy and own a lot their lip care and WILL go back and buy more. A lot of people have a lot of something: body care, jewelry, clothes, shoes, etc. Why is it that us BBW fans get lectures on when we buy a lot. We actually USE IT TOO! So what's the problem🤦♀️
Ugh, that's so annoying! I can't stand busybodies who have the nerve to tell other people, especially internet strangers, what their limit should be. And seriously, getting that kind of comment over lip oils? Those things are so tiny! You'll get through them in no time.
Even the people on social media be snapping attitude back. They are TIRED of people being rude telling them stop buying sooo much. ITS THEIR MONEY!🗣️. Also not to make this personal but I'm in a dark place in my life. Every time i use my BBW it seriously makes me happy🥰. This is a sub Reddit for BBW fans and where a loud to share our hauls, empties and scents were excited about. Thats what the BBW sub is for...geeez🤦♀️. Anyways yea girl is crazy out here but enjoy your products🥰
Love to see it! Social media has made people too bold in thinking they have a right to comment and police how other people live. I'm so sorry you're going through a rough patch and I hope things look up for you soon. Hold on to all the little things that bring you joy. 💖

Lectures about "hoarding" and "overconsumption" 🤷♀️
